(Deltarune Chapter 5 Spoilers) The whole chapter has a lot of really memorable moments but I feel like the opening of both routes does NOT get the love it deserves because both are super unsettling. Bonus normal route doodles I did at 1 am afterwards

So Mew Mew was gifted to Asgore by Alphys

Mew Mew .. the doll the darkner the body etc knows about someone who once had an entire hunting pack of cats (FRIENDs)??

Alphys claims she has a cat but has never actually seen it, I know the context but it's funny that I can connect that and FRIEND to any extent

I was bringing this up to a friend who was simultaneously rambling about Gerson and the Knight and how someone really wanted him to use the shadow crystal

I pointed out that Dess was probably in Gerson's class and I am of the belief he would recognize her to some extent. Alphys showed up in town later, presumably after Gerson was gone, so he would not know her. So for many reasons imo the Knight isn't the one handing out shadow crystals and in this context it's Alphys because it's funny

Also her pack of amalgamates is trying to find Gaster/Forgotten Man and I guess eat his eggs.
