Food Stims!

Hi there,

To answer your questions: yes, I am okay! I had a queue set up to run until Halloween, but things in my life took some unexpected turns and I ended up continuing to put off restarting my queue for weeks. I am truly sorry for being gone for so long - I know that my blog reaches a lot of people who appreciate the videos and I’m sorry if my absence caused any concern or frustration. There were several factors that contributed to my procrastination:

1) Some really challenging things happened at my workplace and I ended up getting an unexpected promotion as a result! Which is super awesome - I love my job and I love my new position. But it also meant that I had a lot more responsibility and significantly less time to focus on social media.

2) Historically for me, this time of year is incredibly challenging for me emotionally. The holidays bring up a lot of difficult things for me - as it does for many people. I tend to shut down and withdrawal from a lot of things in my life, even things that bring me joy (which this blog often does).

3) Fun fact: I started this blog around this time of year about one year ago at a time when I was severely depressed. There’s a whole backstory that you guys don’t need to hear about, but long story short, I used this blog for the sole intention of reblogging my favorite food stim videos so that I could create a safe space for myself when I needed to zone out of my problems. I truly didn’t expect to gain the following that I have now. And I really love that so many people appreciate this blog as much as I have and I love doing what I can to make this blog a safe space for others. But with the large following came new stressors I was unprepared for. Some of the hate I’ve received or the requests I’ve gotten have become really tedious for me to handle. So the idea of coming back to this blog has been really daunting to me - especially since I’ve been in this holiday-related funk.

I’m sorry that this message has been so long-winded, but if you’ve followed my blog for a little you’ll know that every update of mine is 😂 I guess all I have left to say is that I really am appreciative of you guys, and that I’m going to try to put new material into my queue as soon as I feasibly can. I just want you guys to know that I’m okay and I’m not gonna abandon the blog or anything, but I also need to work through some things and I hope you’ll be patient while I take the time to do it.
