I’ve been obsessed with the band Wild Rivers ever since their song “Heart Attack” first appeared on my Spotify recommended tracks.Â
The Ontario Canada band has a great set-up with vocalists Khalid Yassein and Devan Glover trading lead and lending each other subtle harmonies throughout. This single released in Early August 2019 doesn’t disappoint Describing the moments at the end of a relationship when things are still fresh and you can’t go back to get that article of clothing, or listen to that song that reminds you of them. I understand the band is currently in the studio working on a full new album. The band describes “I Do” as a “Sad song dressed up as a happy song.” They have mentioned taking inspiration from Phoebe Bridger’s latest record and you can hear the underlying themes and sadness dressed up in a polished and upbeat package here.Â
