Focusing on Christ

A day without prayer is a day we foolishly believe we have under control.

You knew me before I was formed; my every thought, every word spoken, every mistake made. You knew when I would fake a smile and when I would break. You knew when I would lie, when I would run to the enemy and all of his promises. You knew every part of me and still knitted me in the womb with the utmost care. You remembered my name when You paid the price. You knew of my human nature, and You loved me without any conditions. You loved me before I knew what love was. You adored me when I rejected You. I came into this world a sinner, and You forgave me long before I took my first breath. Your arms are still outreached, even though You know all I have done and will do, because You loved me first.

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Reminder: If you woke up this morning with breath in your lungs and a heartbeat God isn’t finished with you yet. You still have a divine purpose to fulfill and you have a reason to live wholeheartedly. Don’t get discouraged if you are in a difficult season today. Don’t doubt God if the chapter you find yourself in is painful and taking longer than you expected. It won’t last forever. Eventually, you will enter a new chapter with Him. And you will thank Him for getting you through and making you stronger because of it. But for now just keep on going and keep on trusting. Your story is not over yet.
