Yin smiled as he walked with the smaller girl. “I have to say maybe Rock? But Club music is ok too.” He said as he put his hand on her shoulder, showing a little affection.

While the bit of physical affection was surprising, it didn’t effect Karamel. Ieva had more of a problem with ‘touching’ than Karamel did, who would do things like hug her teammates or even jump on their backs if she thought they were ready for it. She allowed Yin’s touching with a bit of consenting body language. 

Yin sighed as he looked at both of them. “Ladies ladies, you don’t have to be mean with it. Come on Karamel, lets go.”

While Neon put on the dramatics pretending to be upset, Karamel and Yin chose the highroad of leaving. The blonde refused to let this little hiccup get in the way of their fun.

“Hey, Yin, what’s your favorite kind of music?”

“Ms, This ain’t nothing but a setback. I don’t want to stop being a huntsman. But if y’all don’t mind me saying, I’ve seen the racism around here every time I come ‘round. If I were going to continue my schooling, it’d be back in Vacuo.”

“Yeah, I understand that all too well. My older brother and father are cat-faunus themselves.”

Karamel looked more like her mother, human and everything, but she still had her little attitude differences that sometimes flickered and were recognized by faunus or faunus haters. She hated how many times the word half-breed rang throughout her classrooms.

“Neon you’ve never met Garnet when he tries to flirt.” He said with a chuckle before hearing Neon out about the date. He felt Karamel stop squirming  and looked back to her. “Karamel you ok?”

“Garnet? You mean that kid flirts? I’d love to see it. I bet he’s as bad as Karamel here. Especially when she’s on a-”

Karamel took a deep breath. If Neon wanted to play boy warfare, then she had no choice but to defend herself.

“When she’s what, Neon? On something you wish you were on with Flynt?”

“Itoldyouthatinconfidenceyoulittleblondetraitorhowdareyou.”

The rapper’s ears folded.

“Well…I ain’t anymo’. Y’know, Fall of Beacon. Shit I seen befo’, but it’s still bad to see.”

It was a longshot idea, but Karamel couldn’t help but find an opportunity that helped all kinds here.

Yin sighed as he pinned Karamel to his back before turning around.“She’s right here, I think she was still thinking about what ever was on her scroll earlier. It turned her beet red so I don’t know what it was.”

“OH-WAAAH- NNNNNO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO- oh hi, Neon.”

Karamel laughed nervously, eyes darting around the festival having barely left the cafeteria earlier. She cleared her throat and squirmed against Yin’s back, unable to find a proper escape route. 

“Thanks, Yin! Sorry in advance, Karamel’s a little weird. I hope you’re enjoying your-”

“Neon no-!”

“Well nonetheless, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mister. I’m Karamel. I’m part of Team FNKI just like Neon. Is this your first time in Atlas Academy? Oh no you’re not one of the teacher assistants, are you? This would be a super embarrassing introduction.”

A grin from the feline as he heard the other’s tongue tie.

“Well, I’m just waiting out this damn lockdown. Goin’ a little stir-crazy, though.”

“Oh no. ‘M sorry!”

Karamel didn’t think about that until relatively recently. She could only imagine the problems foreigners to the kingdom were going through if they were visiting the kingdom before Atlas locked down their borders.

“Synchronizer?”

That was an interesting title Karamel hadn’t quite thought of. Perhaps it was a fitting one, perhaps it wasn’t.
