When Ting was called out of the room for a second, he didn’t hesitate to leave his phone behind.

It wasn’t like he didn’t trust Eleanor with his belongings, and he didn’t have anything on it that he felt the need to hide from anyone.

So he left, excusing himself, and following the person who had called on him out of the room and down the hall. The person had been his manager, who was telling him about the show he had him scheduled for sometime in the next upcoming weeks, something that Guanting was rather used to by that point. He was always the one who was sent out for variety shows, but he didn’t mind. He enjoyed doing them.

He returned not even ten minutes later, his hands absentmindedly patting away at his pockets in search of his phone, before he realized that he had left it in the room before he left. The only problem was that it wasn’t in the spot where he thought he’d left it.

Before he could ask Eleanor about it she started talking (more like rambling if he were being honest). “If you’re hot, I can ask them to turn the heat down if you want?” His tone conveyed his confusion and he looked down at the ground when she stomped her foot down. “Right.. a bug. Are you sure you’re okay?”

"never better!!” eleanor said, clearing her throat. “yeah.. we should go out of this room!! i brought something i wanted to show you... i-it’s,” she stuttered on her words, trying to think of something. “a fish. i bought a fish and brought it to this music show. fish can’t run away.. haha.” she laughed nervously, pushing her hair out of her face. “they can’t run at all! omg, i’m so funny.”

eleanor grabbed guanting’s hand and tugged him out. she didn’t actually have a fish with her. that was a huge problem right there, but what made it worse is that couldn’t hold in her secret for much longer. eleanor had a habit of yelling secrets out loud when they were super juicy.. or made her feel guilty.

her face seemed to get more red by the second. “it’s really hot in here... who cranked the heat? what are they doing, trying to melt the idols?” she joked nervously.

“we’re here!!!” she exclaimed, practically kicking the wish dressing room door open. “yep.. just gotta find that fish..” eleanor shut the door behind guanting, wiping her forehead. 

“i might.. have left it.. in my dorm.. or at the fish store.” she mumbled, the guilt driving her insane. “OKAY! i dropped your phone by accident and it broke and i didn’t mean for it to happen, i just have butterfingers a lot and i did it with my phone, too.” 

eleanor’s eye had tears in them, but she held them back. “i’m really sorry, ting. it was an accident.”

she shouldn’t have brought pippo to a music show. she’s eleanor seo for godsakes!! she loses, breaks, and ruins everything. 

“oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no,” she whispered under her breath as she looked under everything pippo could have gotten under in his plastic ball. “pippo, come back..” 

eleanor stood up, looking around and making sure everyone was distracted. as her eyes were scanning the floor, she ran into someone taller than her.

she looked up to see oh duri, the guy who was dating the leader of her group. “you have to listen to me...” eleanor said softly. “i brought.. my hamster pippo to the music show.. so he could meet his favorite artists and... and it seems i’ve lost him.”

eleanor let out a nervous laugh. “if i don’t find pippo, i’m going to die. pippo is my rock!” she sighed, not even waiting for duri to answer. “come!! we don’t have much time...”

eleanor stood there, frozen in fear. she was happy she got to be in a room by herself, she needed her space. but now she realized she wasn’t rooming alone alone. there was a dead little girl sharing a room with her.

which, in any case, was MUCH worse than rooming with living people.

eleanor carefully grabbed her phone, staring at the little girl. she opened it and clicked the first contact in her phone to call. as soon as it started ringing, the little girl vanished.

a loud shriek filled the WISH dorm, followed by loud sobs.

eleanor looked down at the phone and spoke into it. “SOOYEON PLEASE COME TO MY ROOM I JUST SAW A GHOST,” eleanor sat down on the floor, in shock and feeling unable to move.

“HURRY WHAT IF SHE COMES BACK?!” sooyeon and eleanor were wish’s youngest members, so she knew it was luck that sooyeon was the most recent call she made. if it was anyone else, they probably wouldn’t have believed her.

while holding her friend guanting’s phone, she’d managed to drop it. what an eleanor thing to do. 

“it’s fine, it’s fine,” she told herself, picking the phone up carefully. the screen was completely shattered. “it’s just.. a little crack. it’s fine, he won’t notice.” she wiped the screen on her shirt, which caused a part of the screen to cut her shirt and fall to the ground.

“oHSHIT!” she had gone into full panic mode, hiding the phone behind some makeup. eleanor had broke out into a nervous sweat, she wiped her forehead with the sleeve of her shirt. 

she heard guanting enter the room again, her face bright red with clear sweat dripping down it.

“what’s good, my chinese buddy ol’ pal... who hopefully won’t hate me for doing something clumsy and dumb-” she cut herself off and forced a smile. “i mean what? it’s fine, how’re you doing? enjoy your trip out to the bathroom or wherever you went? i sure enjoyed it.. for you..” she coughed, adjusting her shirt. “is it hot in here or is it just me?” looking down, she realized the piece of glass was in plain view. she stamped her shoe on top of it. “just a.. bug. a big big HUGE bug. nothing else..”
