#BackToBooks // I started reading this book on April 2018. I slowly read two-thirds of it over time, hadn't touch it in months, and finally finished the last third of it these past few days. And God's timing is interesting. The chapter I had left off on here was on adoption, and it transitioned perfectly from Russell Moore's book, still so fresh on my mind and heart. #BackToBooks // Reading "Adopted for Life" rekindled the urgency to pray for my own sanctification. To pray for my future husband. To pray for our future children. To pray for my parents and future in-laws to open their hearts to having adoptive grandkids. To pray for my future church to be the village that helps raise our children up in the gospel of Jesus Christ. And this collection of devotional poems help pours into those prayers. #Storytime // I picked up this book a couple of months ago at a used bookstore unaware of the undated Christmas card tucked into the back flap of the jacket cover. I discovered it when I finally decided to give the book a try. And as much as I don't know the "Sara" and "Pastor Jonathan" on the card, the content, the message, the exhortation...it's like as if God is directly encouraging ME as I continue to apply to schools. Even through the actual book (regardless of the author's scandals), God, by His grace, is helping me "look up" to Him, to His Son, to His gospel of grace.
