i think part of what makes blackmadhi appeal to me so heavily is that simon blackquill seems like the kind of guy to absolutely abhor any kind of unnecessary drama or gossip in his everyday life (even though he is a rather dramatic person himself… zero self awareness), so to imagine him unwittingly entering a horrible awful fwb/situationship scenario with nahyuta sadmadhi, the KING of pettiness and drama, is just so incredibly funny to me.

like simon would absolutely claim he hates petty conflict and anything to do with it but then proceed to entertain a reality-show-level toxic relationship with nahyuta simply because he likes annoying him and is too stubborn to back down. he will not realize the irony of this. it’s so good

writing and publishing your own fics is like maximum humiliation ritual territory because if you’re just recommending a fic to someone and they think it sucks you can just be like “haha i actually read that a while ago idk what i was thinking it’s not really that good” but if it’s a fic you wrote everyone knows it came from Your Brain and if it sucks everyone knows that YOU SUCK as a media analyst and i think i’d rather actually die than have that happen
