I could relate so much to Silent Hill f and Hinako's journey. I loved her duality: one side wanted independence and to do things outside gender expectations, and the other side wanted to embrace certain feminine aspects of herself, such as her feelings for Kotoyuki.
I understand the frustration of wanting both, yet feeling forced to choose. It feels like you're tearing yourself apart. Horrifically beautiful.

i've paid close attention to how shu addresses hinako vs how hinako addresses him and it's interesting
bc he usually calls her partner (aibou) more often than she does. she drops it quite a bit and uses his actual name. in fact, he uses partner so much that it seems like he wouldn't stop that. even rinko comments on it. it's (imo) kind of insulting to hinako lol but i can give him some credit i guess because he seems to drop it in serious situations and actually use her name. that being said, him using her name doesn't seem to be something that happens often.

Upon entering the church bright light flooded her vision. Under normal circumstances, the serene scene would have offered her some peace of mind. Instead, it only threatened to worsen the lingering headache she currently dealt with. Though Hinako seems to be a little overwhelmed, she somehow manages to keep her focus intact. Just barely.
"Me either." She's lost in every sense of the word. The conversation escapes her and leaves her just as confused. Hate...? That was a strong word and an unexpected question at that. "I don't know..." Left feeling like she was put on the spot, she glanced towards the ground just to notice flowers nearby her feet.
Pretty - yet strange how beauty thrived in unexpected places. "It's okay." Her attention tore away from the rare sight and found its way back to the brunette. "I just...don't know what to say. Should I hate you?" No...that wasn't why she was here. The real reason remained hidden in the palm of her hand, forgotten for the time being.
ik there are multiple endings and different plot points but i'd love to see hinako time loop like rika in higurashi
just fuck up multiple times and do everything over again. she wouldn't have to remember but maybe the god(s) can warn her of her previous cycle actions. that would be fun :)
