Tucker Thanksgiving Table
Hello friends!
It’s that time of year again! I don’t know about you guys, but Thanksgiving has just come so fast this year for me! Devin and I have a lot going on right now. We are expecting out first child very early April of next year, we are working on the nursery, and (as if that’s not enough life change going on-ha!) we are also about to undertake a pretty big house project! We are building a garage!
So, needless to say, I sure do have a lot to be grateful for during this season of life! I feel like Thanksgiving is often looked over. I will be the first to admit that I would rather be decorating for Christmas right now, but my husband and family have to remind me to really slow down and enjoy this time of Thanksgiving!
And the truth is, when I stop and think about all that God has blessed me with in my 26 years of life so far, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with thankfulness. My Savior has given me far more than I will ever deserve! So, this year, I’m going to slow down, and enjoy every moment of this Thanksgiving season. I could go on and on about all that God has blessed me with, but I will just say this....God is so kind and so faithful and so generous to His children. I pray I never take any detail or blessing for granted. I have to admit that my heart is overflowing with anticipation to meet the newest blessing in my life that will be here in the Spring! Baby Tucker, you are already SO loved, not only by your Creator, but by your momma and daddy and a WHOLE TRIBE of other people!! We are ready to love on you! And we are ready to raise you to be a world changer and a bold light for the cause of Christ. God has big plans for you, little one! My prayer is that you will take advantage of each opportunity He gives you.
Okay, I will stop talking to my baby and start talking to you guys again! Ha!
I always love prepping a table for Thanksgiving, so I figured I would share with you guys what’s on my table this year. Small details can make a big difference! And you don’t have to break the bank to make a nice tablescape! And the best part is- it can be totally YOU. My style is not the same as everyone else....and that’s okay! You do what you like! Be creative and, most of all, have fun!
I opted to keep it bright and simple this year! And I will also admit that I am southern to the core! To keep the southern theme going, I added a bouquet of cotton stems in a metal container for the centerpiece. Both of these items can be found at Hobby Lobby.
On our table, you will also find deer antlers....and yes, these are real. I can’t really tell you where to get these except for in the woods- haha! I have to give my husband credit on this one! I think it adds a “Tucker touch” to our Thanksgiving table.
Place Mats and Napkins- “Hearth and Hand” by Magnolia (Target)
Plates- Pioneer Woman (Walmart)
Garland to wrap Napkins- (Target- dollar section...this is a recent purchase- you should still be able to find!)
Well friends, there you have it! Just wanted to share some small details with you that can make a big difference.
My prayer is that each of you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving season! Do everything you can to enjoy time with your family and friends! This life is a vapor and we never know when it will be our time to go. Soak every moment in and live like every day could be your last! Oh yes, and eat some yummy food too if you can!
Have a GREATful Thanksgiving!!
