starter: open to all!  location: anywhere because i want this to be as easy as possible.

“i can’t believe people actually liked my costume.. let alone, that i won first place? i’ve never won anything before, so i’m not sure whether i should celebrate or just use my prize when i’m having one of those days. what do you think i should do?”

a gummy  smile  crosses  caroline’s  lips  ,  scrunching  her  nose  up  as  she  shakes  her  head  left  to  right  .   “  you  know  i’m  totally  using  this  as  bragging  rights  for  the  rest  of  my  life  ,  right  ?  ”   she  teases  with  a  small  laugh  .   “  is  this  your  way  of  asking  me  to  take  off  my  jacket  ?   because  there  are  better  ways  of  saying  it  ,  and  better  places  too  .  ”   the  flirting  comes  out  naturally  as  she  reduces  the  distance  between  them  ,  and  it’s  something  care  can’t  help  it  .   hell  ,  even  her  voice  gets  huskier  .   the  liquid  courage  she  acquired  after  a  few  beers  with  bard  brings  a  more  confident  and  flirty  side  of  her  ,  one  that  even  dares  to  flirt  with  her  boss  .   though  ,  she  knows  florencia  well  enough  and  even  anticipates  the  distance  the  other  would  soon  introduce  between  them  .   thus  ,  she  steps  back  ,  peels  off  her  jacket  ,  revealing  the  pink  cropped  top  .   “  fiiiiine  ,  but  you  owe  me  a  drink  if  you  win  !  ”   after  placing  the  clear  plastic  jacket  on  the  metal  barrier  near  the  human - sized  jenga  set  ,  she  goes  after  the  farthest  block  and  picks  it  up  .   “  why  do  you  need  a  win  so  bad  ?   did  something  happen  or  is  this  just  your  sore  loser  side  kicking  in  ?  ”

“WHY, THANK YOU, FLO.” He flashes them a grin, always one to be proud of his achievements, because he puts in a lot of time and effort into his jobs. “Or more than a drink or two… this is a getting drunk kinda night,” he points out as if what he’s saying is simply a fact. “You having a good day so far?”

EMILIA FOLLOWS FLO DEEPER INTO THE STORE, eyes sweeping around as she half-listens to the names thrown at her.   “ no funeral flowers, ”   she deadpans, not wanting the trailer to feel more like a home of death than gracia already thinks it is. then again, maybe flowers weren’t the way to go… but it was too late now, as they moved onto the next one.   “ it’s fancy, ”   emilia eyes the orchid, now understanding why gracia had been so hesitant to say that they should get a pet. looking at the flower, she wasn’t sure she could even keep THAT alive.   “ it’s for the house. my sister’s been wanting to spruce the place up a bit, and i figured some color wouldn’t hurt. how hard are they to kill ? ”   she adds, nodding to the orchid. 

“ it was ?? in that case i can’t thank you enough . i know you wouldn’t think it , but owen actually has some good knowledge tucked away in that brain of his . i know , right ?? it’s unbelievable but he’s a great addition . “ although owen may have seemed like the dictionary definition of a himbo he had a brain buried deep down , it just needed a little coaxing out . with her arms crossing over her chest she watched florencia scan the shelves , letting out a little hum of approval once she read the spine of the volume . “ i love monty don . he’s so cute , running around his garden with his little dogs . there’s also something weirdly sexy about him . maybe i’m just going through a dry spell , but i dunno – if he asked for a romp in the hay i wouldn’t say no , “ the very thought caused ender to snort with laughter , provoking glances of judgement from those engaging in quiet reading . with her voice lowered this time , she continued : “ well , if you got owen on the team i trust your jugdement , “

Skye: know exactly what you mean. then I remember I have a business to run and hate my life. oh to be a kid again and not care about any of it.

florencia: maybe get a business phone???

florencia: i've really been considering it.

“yeah! come on, how hard can it really be to own a ferret, right?” this was probably a bad idea – considering the fact that alex already had pickle, who was a handful himself, and was already discussing a gecko as an addition to their apartment with owen. but whatever problems arise, those are future alex’s problems. “we can ask the person at the desk some questions and i can do my research, and then we’ll pimp him out and show him off to the town. sounds fun, no?” 

APPLE BOBBING MASTER. the title makes ali grin.   “ that has a nice ring to it, thank you. ”   after shaking flo’s hand, ali gets onto his knees and assumes positions, waiting for the count-off. then he’s off, taking up the entire tub as he goes from one apple to another, tossing them onto the ground beside him  ( is that allowed ?   probably not )  once he’s grabbed one. ali’s not even counting them, just trying to see how many he can get before flo tells him he’s out of time.

“crowds do take up too much space, i get it.” dominique was obviously missing most of florencia’s point, yet in a way, she did understand them. it was that kind of noise she didn’t want here, she prefers anything else but that, if she was being honest. the bouncer knew about the reaction she always earns whenever she utters the nickname she came up with them the first time she met them, it was how she usually expresses her endearment that people just doesn’t understand it, unless they get the bravery to ask her, and she’s just commonly intimidating. “glad your friend did that.” she stares at them once more from head to toe, her smirk widens this time. “though i didn’t expect you to go for a villain–they’re such misunderstood creatures, no? and dominique could heavily relate to that.
