multiple people over the course of 5-6 years told me that a lot of my autoimmune symptoms seemed like lupus (hair falling out, mouth/nasal sores when stressed/sick, photosensitivity, joint pain, skin issues) and i have family history of autoimmune diseases

late 2024 i had my first grand mal seizure and found out i’d been having focal seizures for years that i mistook for migraines/anxiety. my bfs sister is a doctor and she said that i needed to ask for an anti nuclear test. i got referred to a research hospital and they took me really seriously and tested for different autoimmune and inflammatory markers

definitely make a list of symptoms and keep track of when/where they happen, take photos of any visible symptoms (skin flushing, swelling, hair loss, sores, Reynauds, etc) and if you can go to a research hospital, i suggest it. in my experience they’ve always taken me more seriously, and didn’t treat me like i was drug seeking.
