what blade offers & whether he is worth pulling:

at e0s0 he offers: 30% def shred, 50% vuln, +50% dmg bonus, + 75% ult dmg if another nihility is on the team OR blade’s own dmg +75% if not.

his sig relic set offers an additional +15% dmg bonus while his sig (s1) offers + 30% cdmg

notable eidolons: 20% all type res shred (e1), 75% fua dmg (e2), 50% dmg dealt (e4)

value: best in slot for ashveil and acheron — or more so ashblade duo* is best for acheron. aside from these teams, blade can comfortably replace a missing ally in a premium comp, eg if you are cyrene-less then blade functions roughly equal to e0s0 cyrene in monorem. you could even put him with prem dot he is friendly

you can run blade as a main dps, a subdps, as well as throw him on a full support build and he also works as a pseudo-sustain due to his taunt + dmg reduction! he can basically do whatever you want and he is friends with everyone. <- hence why i say he’s super good for new accounts!

the only time i see him as not a good enough upgrade to your account is if you already have multiple full, complete premium teams eg monorem, silver wolf or eva premium, or like.. break or dot premium idk the point being you have 3 finished teams. if you have no interest in playing main dps blade or ashveil or acheron then you don’t really have a place for him to go.

some misconceptions before we talk builds

there are some clashes with current sustains, so your bis sustain is highly dependent on which ally you want to do the most damage with. blade’s own bis sustain is hyacine, however, ashveil experiences a damage loss while tribbie, blade, hyacine experience a damage increase. similarly, dhpt with his sig is also best for ashblade, but blade can’t use the attack while ashveil can (also, dhpt is considered weaker than hyacine in a long fight as he has minimal healing and cannot sustain blade for long battles eg anomaly arbitration). there is an obvious hole in this current team in which they will fill with a dedicated fua sustain, so i wouldn’t worry about which healer to run right now.

blade is very much still ashveil’s best in slot if you cannot afford to go e2. the misconception is that since blade’s e2 offers a fua buff, he is therefore unusable for fua teams at e0 — which is not the case. blade’s base kit at e0s0 is already a huge upgrade to ashveil teams (and many others) while e2 should be considered a strong upgrade option for those interested in investing. he is not at all reliant on this eidolon, and it is unnecessary for clearing endgame.

TLDR: yes he is amazing at e0s0, and don’t worry about which sustain is best bc it’s temporary. generally, hyacine -> dhpt w sig -> huo huo or lingsha -> whoever else you have. you have the option of running sustainless if you clear before blade can reach 1 hp.

build talk: i have to split this into a few sections simply because blade is so flexible that you can run entirely different builds on him based on what you want him to do lol ^^;;

MAIN DPS BLADE.

light cones best -> less best: sig -> pearls -> holiday escapade (bp) -> boundless choreo -> acheron sig -> goodnight, sleep well

main stats: crit body (cr unless u have more than 80% cr then go cd), hp or fire orb (~1-3% diff between the two), hp rope, speed boots unless you’re already at 134/141 then go hp boots

relic set: divine querying + bone collection

goal stats: 134/141 speed, 80% cr then as much hp and cd as u can get

allies: sunday or sparkle or ruan mei or tribbie, huo huo or lingsha or hyacine or next best healer. you choose 2 of the harmonies listed eg sparkle & tribbie, then choose a sustain!

HYBRID BUILD / MOST ‘SAFE’ BUILD

light cones best -> less best: sig -> cipher sig -> pearls -> holiday escapade (bp) -> tutorial -> gn sleep well

relic set: divine querying + bone collection (can also do lushaka for ashveil main dps)

main stats: crit body (cr unless u have more than 80% cr then go cd), hp or fire orb (~1-3% diff between the two), hp rope, speed boots unless you’re already at 134/141 then go hp boots

goal stats: 134/141 speed, 80% cr then as much hp and cd as u can get

allies: ur main dps eg ashveil, a sustain that can heal, then your fav support eg tribbie sunday ruan mei sparkle. i cant give a definitive list as this is also dependent on teams… if you’re running dot then its prob black swan kafka hysilens and blade is also there.. but if you dont have hysilens then you would run kafka black swan huo huo blade? you can really toss him in anywhere

FULL SUPPORT (what i’m running for my wolf!)

light cone: tutorial

relic sets: eagle + vonwaqc

main stats: same as above but err rope & definitive speed boots.

goal stats: 151+ speed, 80% cr and then as much hp cd as possible.

why you want 80% cr and not 100% : blade gives himself +20% cr in battle, and i’m not counting characters like rmc who offer additional cr!

why you want 134/141 speed: both offer two turns in a zero cycle, but 134 will have the second turn outside of his fury state. 141 ensures both turns are inside fury state, so try for 141 if you can but it’s not horrible if you go 134!

unless blade is solely a support, i wouldn’t go past this speed breakpoint as you are sacrificing hp / cr / cd. super fast blades r usually on eagle

other relic substitutes exist but pls don’t run them over his new set ;__; u can technically pioneer or scholar or longevous him BUT only until u get him on sig set or eagle plsplsplsplspls

for ashveil mains he is very very wonderful for the grandpa wolf :3 they actually cover each other’s weaknesses extremely well!!!! this next update will give around 91 pulls f2p so i hope you will get blade if u wanted him!!!!!
