Seasonal Flower

    “Namine! You surprised me. Why not come see for yourself? I think looking with your own eyes would be a much better experience than me simply telling you.”

    She hummed and stood up, straightening her dress as she turned around. “Thank you. But I can’t help but wonder if you did something you weren’t supposed to. Don’t tell me you stepped on my flowers again while you were working.”

    She gave a light chuckle and looked at him, “Well hello to you too.” 

    Gladly takes the awkward hug over butt pats.

    “Nonsense, I’m sure they’re just as pretty. You are just trying to get on my good side for being gone again for so long.”

“That’s pretty obvious. I don’t see why you need to ask me. A chocobo of course.”

“Probably Leon. He has the whole dark brooding thing down pretty well. Thankfully he doesn’t do it as much as he used to.”

     “That’s better, except for the pinching.” Rubs at her cheek. Ow.

      “You’re so sweet. Of course they do! They really are lovely. Thank you so much.”

     “Oh dear sweet naive Leon. There is much you don’t know. What is the saying? ‘Never judge a book by it’s cover’. Besides...You haven't even asked me to bed yet so how would you know?”

     Taking the bouquet in hand Aerith gave the other a soft warm smile. The flowers beautiful. Vibrant blossoms throughout the bundle, “These are wonderful. I’m sure they will make many people happy. Thank you.”

     “You keep missing it.” She waved him to bend down so she could get it herself. If he kept that up she was sure he’d never get it out of his hair. “Let me help.”

     Aerith felt her cheeks warm as they tinged pink at Tifa’s comment. Smiling she leaned over and hugged her tight. “Happy New Year to you too Tifa! Let’s make this one as great or better as last year.”
