For a friend, our winter encounter with an eagle-owl at the island of Ydra in Greece.

A lumpsucker (or lumpfish) for a friend's PhD defence. These critters are very hot in aquaculture at this point because they love nibbling on the parasitic lice that fester cultured salmon.

My second illustration for my colleague who works with copepods ( he extracts dna from the antenna if that's not obvious :p)

A drawing of a copepod i made for a colleague. It was a bit challenging to make a visually engaging copepod but since he gave me some liberty as to how to draw the body pose, I felt more free in drawing a copepod with a distinguishing pose :).

A quick drawing I made for a benthic community diagram, obviously more functional than artistic (disguisting yet tim-saving copypasting)..

A few logo designs I prepared for a colleague who researches anglerfish, he chose the one on the right although I prefer the upper one :) !

Wanted to test whether I could do something quickly. It's the product of a mental junction between seeing this video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufpu9_…) and the recent obtained fact that the pterodactylus genus is actually tiny, so yeah this beastie is more or less to scale :) !   

A fine example of having an ephemeral idea that pops up into your head that then takes waaay too long to realize  ..

A personal speculative restoration of Nyctosaur with plenty of artistic liberties. The crest was the main reason I decied to work on this particular species as I see no special reason why it would have been bare without any sort of ornamentation. For the colors I drew inspiration seabirds such as pelicans, cormorants and penguins.
