Hiii! First of all, thank you bunches! I'm so glad you enjoyed my little series, I loved writing it so much :)
As for recommendations! Well! I've got lots! I don't really tend toward unhappy endings for long-form angst, so most of this list definitely leans humorous/sweet (but not saccharine!)
To start us off--some longstanding recommendations I don't see talked about enough.
The Heart and Other Furies by @onepettythief is a creation I verrrry proudly watched come to life for the Gelphie Big Bang last year as a beta, and it is to-die-for Shiz Era bookverse, featuring Galinda as a werewolf. Highly recommend.
'Study' Partners by GenericOregairuFan is, again, Shiz Era bookverse, and an absolutely fantastic romantic comedy that made me laugh out loud many times.
Shakes all over like a jellyfish by gunkymonkey is literally such a joy to read and their attention to prose is Quite Enjoyable, if I do say so. Movieverse gelphie.

her face is a map of the world by @sunflowersappho which had me VERKLEMPT at sweet sweet Elphaba at the end. Devil wears Prada movieverse au!
Birds by the snow (librarian movieverse au) and Color and light (Sunday in the Park with George AU) by @flabbergasties who continues to stun and amaze me constantly. Color and light is very new and very amazing already and Birds by the snow actually changed my life.
Last but certainly not least: anything, everything, all the things by my dear friend @loniceravine. Her writing never fails to delight me, and I've read everything minus It Was Today (and Not Tomorrow) which I am shamefully only halfway through (so far! I WILL be finishing it!) but it has literally altered my brain chemistry, changed me for good, made me a better more interesting person, etc. This is the movie/musicalverse that comforts me when the end of WFG seems too bleak.
This is a fairly long list, but hey, I never claimed to be concise! And if anyone ever wants to chat fic, these or others, I'm always around and game! And I AM still writing, also, as a last update! 25k into my latest project (fake engagement au!) and I can't wait to share it, probably at the end of the summer.

hello! The TLDR of the story is that we were planning a fake wedding to fulfil someone’s dying wish. And this person wanted to be one of the witnesses to signing the official documents. We filed our intention to ‘marry’ in time but we didn’t know they’d make us sign the documents there and then on the wedding day. According to our research you had a week to sign it in case you changed your mind. Nope. They changed the rules. But we had already gone through an actual (fake, extremely small courthouse) wedding and we thought we’d at least have time to revoke it before it was filed. Also nope. So now we’re married.
anon, i'm like so sad that this is an accidental straight marriage, do you know how good of a love story this would be if it were an accidental gay marriage? like i'm writing the fanfic in my head as we speak.
also this is very funny and extremely unfortunate, but if it's any consolation you can now carry the title of hot divorcée without too many of the negative consequences that come with actually being a hot divorcée. which is arguably a huge win for you.
apropos of nothing I feel the need to come on here and talk about some of my favorite ongoing fics to dispel the myth that the gelphies are in a slump. it’s only true if you make it so!

Thinking about how Glinda's skirts get progressively longer and more voluminous as the show progresses (not counting the bubble dress in NOMTW since that's out of order chronologically)
And the obvious reason for this is that it shows her maturing and gaining more status as the show goes on, but I wonder if there's also something to be said about her clothing becoming more cumbersome and restrictive. The bubble dress is heavy (I believe they tend to range about 12-15 lbs) and it's something that a lot of actresses complain about. Glinda in act 1 tends to have a lot of energy and very over-the-top body language. This is most apparent in popular, which varies between performances but usually involves a lot of jumping around, high kicks, even sometimes splits and attempted cartwheels. She loses this in act 2, both because she wants to project a more serious image as Glinda the Good and because she's just a lot less happy than she was in the first act. But there's also the additional fact that she couldn't do most of those things even if she wanted to, because of her clothing. The persona of Glinda the Good restricts her in a metaphorical sense and the clothing restricts her in a literal sense. She is physically unable to be as lively and expressive as she used to be. And I'm not sure this is intentional (there's also a broader point to be made here about women's clothing in general) but I think it's interesting nonetheless.
