The new 54-story One Astor Plaza (Kahn & Jacobs, 1972) and the 50-story Uris Building (Emery Roth & Sons, 1972), both under construction can be seen at left, over Times Square.
At center, the steel skeleton for New York Telephone Building (Kahn & Jacobs, 1974) start to rises up between Union Dime Savings Bank (Kahn & Jacobs, 1958) and Interchem (Emery Roth & Sons, 1969) buildings, over Avenue of the Americas. Just above them, can be seen the new J.P. Stevens Building (Emery Roth & Sons, 1971), with the new Rockefeller Center's Mc-Graw Hill (Harrison. Abramovitz & Harris, 1972) and Exxon (Harrison, Abramovitz and Harris, 1971) buildings under construction, and another modern buildings on Avenue of the Americas.
At right, foreground, just above Bryant Park are the steel skeleton of 50-story W.R. Grace Building (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 1972) and the Rockefeller Center's R.C.A. Building (Associated Architects, 1933) are visible at background.
