“i never took you as a hunter.” mira joked while placing the glass cup away off to the side. she was accustomed to taeil’s sarcasm and his drinking habits, especially when the man sought out alcohol as a reason to block off the world. when they were together, as limited the time was, she learned just enough about taeil to know that he was bit fucked up. granted, she was messed up too. “i’m hurt.” she gave a fake pout, “you only want me to get plastered drunk.” still she took his card and started a tab for him at the cashier. handing the card back to him, mira gave a teasing smile. “you know as a bartender i am supposed to not get you too drunk. but considering you must have a reason to get shitfaced, i’ll make an exception. now, what do you want to start off with?”
with mira’s question it hit him - he had nothing to go home to tonight. the last part that had been worth anything to him was gone. of course, like always, he fucked up, and he had no one to blame but himself. he had nothing to go home to, no one who would care if he ended up dead in a ditch by the end of the night, and he was too empty to mind, too angry with himself. «the strongest you have,» he huffed disinterested, «and keep em coming.»
