In my AU, it's rare to find monsters who can read well, much less write. For example, Dreemurrs can neither read nor write. But Alphys is fortunate enough to be a bit of a prodigy, so she's one of the few monsters who can read not only signs, but also newspapers, books, and even some internet posts

The bracelets worn by monsters contain a mechanism that is linked to the soul container. Essentially, without the bracelet, the monster's body would be instantly destroyed, and the soul would be destroyed shortly after

Souls are very important in my au, and people are no exception. I decided to preserve the souls with colors and and meanings from the original. People usually use soul color to determine a child's primary trait, making it easier for them to understand what to expect from them in the future. Determination is more difficult in this regard, because it's never clear what exactly to expect from the actions of people with a red soul. This is why they have difficulty growing up and sometimes finding work (where soul color is also considered in addition to age and experience)

In this AU, after defeating monsters, humans fully enslaved them. Monsters are used in various fields, while their souls are taken from them at birth. Because monster souls are weak and quickly deteriorate, humans created special containers to maintain their form. Their own souls became some sort of leverage for the monsters, keeping them from rebelling. Furthermore, monsters are advantageous to use because they possess magic, which they use instinctively, while humans require artifacts to even use magic. In this AU, humans have a harder time controlling magic than monsters, so it's easier to use those who are naturally good at it

Based on the original game's plot as of now, their relationship had already begun in the main timeline. In fact, I'd like to write a fanfic about them in the future. In short: White saves Doughael from the Avatar of Destiny, and from that moment on, their relationship would begin to develop, plus at least Vanilla and Rose would make an appearance, so Rose's relationship with her relatives could also be explored

In any case, I see them as the most stable couple I have. Mainly because both Rose and Sapphire are perceptive enough to understand each other without unnecessary words

I left their sexualities the same because for me no matter what universe they live in, their preferences will be the same

I also have a headcanon for Shadow Milk based on my personal experience but I don't know if I have the right to share it because this headcanon might seem strange in regards to trans people, which would not be my intention, and I wouldn't want to offend anyone with my personal interpretation

It's a shame I wasn't able to finish the art in time for the first update, but I'm glad I finished it at all! At first, I tried a new color scheme but I quickly gave up and went back to my usual coloring. This time, I focused on tone of the colors, I finally figured out how to work with it digitally

I think it's funny how most of the fandom decided that Pure Vanilla should be pan. It's kinda cute❤️💛💙
