You should not be allowed to get your period if you're already chronically ill. This is bullshit đđđ
imagine being such a 12 outta 10 that your mere smile winds up domesticating the nation's deadliest hitman đł
Lowkey, I'm halfway through season one and I think I might be in love with this show
Not Quite the Position Planned
Husk limped into his room, a hand pressing into his hip for support as he tried not to let his leg drag so lamely. He felt pathetic closing the bar early like this, but god help him, the pain had flared worse than it had in months and he knew he wouldnât be able to spend another 6 hours on his feet dealing with drunks and sinners sobbing about redemption. Thankfully, Charlie and Vaggi were understanding when flare-ups made the older demon their bitch.
Heâd only just made it inside when he felt the spasm send waves of pain rippling through his lower back, his leg seeming to lose the last bit of feeling it had as he crumbled like paper. He felt like a house with a cracked foundationâ slowly crumbling brick by fucked up brick.
âF-fu-fuckâŚâ His whimpered words trailed off as he lay on the floor, trying to breathe through the pain. He wanted to curl into a ball but experience told him that was a bad idea, but laying flat on his back usually worsened the numbness down his leg, and laying on his stomach meant arching his back a bit more and that worsened the pain too, which left getting upâ- a painful but necessary evil that he would have to face eventually if not nowâŚ. So he began the slow process, a dance heâd done over the years when his back went out, grumbling to himself about âold people bullshitâ between hisses of pain.
He felt his phone buzz in his pocket, he knew it was Angel likely looking to continue their spicy exchange from earlier in the day, but he couldnât bring himself to care in that moment. Husk had never particularly thought of himself as sexy, but he didnât think there was any way he could feel less sexy than he did thereâ- on his hands and knees, panting like a tired animal as his back spasmed again and his hips screamed at the position he was frozen in.
Angelâs last message flashed behind his eyes as he squeezed them shut, breathing deeply against the pain that threatened to overwhelm him.
âMaybe I need to be the one bending you over tonightâŚâ
It had seemed enticing then, when his body wasnât staging a coup against him. Being bent over might kill him in the state he was in⌠Hell, sex in almost every position Angel liked might kill him tonight.
By the time he managed to crawl to his bedside table and pull himself to his feet, he was sweating and panting like heâd run a marathon, ignoring the way his phone buzzed every few minutes as he forced himself to take just two steps before allowing himself to collapse onto his bed with a grunt.
He felt the phone buzz in his pocket againâŚ. He knew he should answer it, knew he should probably tell Angel what had happened, knew that relationships relied on healthy communicationâ or whatever bullshit Charlie talked about in group therapy when she had that session on building healthy relationships after traumaâ but Husk couldnât bring himself to take that step. Pain like this wasnât sexy, it was just another reminder that he was old and fucked up in more ways than he cared to admit to anyone, least of all Angel.
God, Angel⌠He was everything Husk had come to believe he didnât deserve despite the spider having his own flaws.
Huskâs phone buzzed again⌠and again⌠and againâŚ
Groaning, Husk pulled every ounce of will power to reach for the phone.
5 new messages
Two photos came up when he opened themâŚ. One a Angel in his dressing room, body adorned in just the silk robe he wore between takes of whatever fucked up idea Valentino was making him bring to life that dayâŚ. The second a picture from the full length mirror in his dressing room, his robe falling off one shoulder and the slit opening more near the bottom than he could claim was unintentional.
âThinking of youâŚ.â
Was he really? Husk scoffed at thought, whatever Angel was picturing wasnât the pathetic sight he knew he was nowâŚ.
Silencing his phone, he tossed it aside, forcing himself onto his side. Husk remembered all the handouts and the way the nurses had explained how he should lay the last time things started to get this bad and Charlie practically ambushed him with a home visit, claiming that she called a doctor to examine all the staffâŚ. But she was very insistent that Husk be the first to go and he was the only one who opened the door to the back room to find the princess hovering near the door pretending to examine the wallpaper as if she hadnât been worried enough to press her ear to the door.
On his sideâ laying on whichever side that he was able to feel his leg on. A pillow between his knees. Ice for the first 24 hours at least despite him wanting nothing more than heat to sooth the twitching muscle along his spine, not that he could get that on his own nowâŚ. Or call someone to do it for him since heâd just tossed his phone to the other side of the bed.
Huskâs tail flicked, lashing in annoyance before he forced himself to reach toward the nightstandâŚ. He gasped as the movement pulled at muscles still tight and twitching and jumping beneath his skin. The sudden spike of pain sends electricity zapping into his wings, the involuntary flapping at the pain seeming to worsen the pain screaming across his back as if it were some twisted game his body was playing with him that he wasnât sure when he began playing.
âFuckâŚ.â He meant it to be a growl, but the word comes out like a choked whisper as his wings seem to relax again, though it still feels like the nerves through them ignite at random and shoot small currents of pain through them even as he pulls them tight against his back.Â
His next reach was slower, each movement calculated and measured until his arm hung over the edge of the bed despite the pain, fingers searching along where he could feel until he felt the bottles. His fingers wrap around the glass neck of a bottle, flexing at the familiarity of the cool beneath his fingertips. He doesnât pick it up, just shakes it, testing the weightâ half full⌠easy, dependable, wouldnât numb the pain, but a stiff drink has put him out long enough to sleep through the worst of flares like this, at least thatâs always been what the old cat told himselfâŚ.
His eyes closed against another bout of pain as it rippled through him, the tears that had gathered in the corners falling without his permission as his fingers twitched around the neck of the bottle again before abandoning the booze and slowly pulling a half finished bottle of water onto the bed beside him. He didnât drink it, didnât think he could right now, honestly didnât want to, but somehow the weight in his palms felt comforting despite being nothing of true comfort.
Huskâs phone lay abandoned at the foot of the bed, silent, though he knew Angel was probably still texting him since he could see the screen light every few minutes. Once. Twice. Three timesâŚ. He turns his head as best he can without aggravating still twitching muscles in an attempt to ignore the guilt that pressed down on his chest at ignoring the man heâd found himself falling for over the course of the months theyâd spent together.
Sleep rarely came on days like this, but Husk closed his eyes anyway in hopes that the pain would fade into a background noise until his mind slipped into something less than conscious, restful or notâ at any rate, with his eyes closed, he could at least pretend he wasnât fucking up the first half decent relationship heâd had in decades by just watching his phone light up with his boyfriendâs name from across the bedâŚ.
Husk snorted a laugh as the word crossed his mind. Boyfriend. If he could even call Angel that by the end of the first hour of ignored textsâŚ.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Angel frowned at his phone, looking distraught as he refreshed his messages with Husk for the tenth time in the last 2 minutes. He hadnât responded in nearly three hours nowâŚ.
Did I fuck this up? He wondered, refreshing the messages again, scrolling up to the flirtation they had going before Husk dropped off. Heâd taken a risk, suggested something about a role reversal that he had thought would be sexy at the time⌠But now, his eyes skim the text again. Was that too much? Did I freak him out?Â
A familiar feeling claws at the spider demonâs chest⌠Heâd come on too strong with Husk before, theyâd had arguments about it, his Angel Dust persona bigger than life and a lot more confident than he could ever hope to be as just Anthony when it came to all this dating and flirting and sex stuff⌠Husk was never fully on board with that, said Angel Dust was different from just Angelâ different from Anthony⌠Said he didnât wanna date Angel DustâŚ.
Angel swallowed hard, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. He had been Angel Dust so long he wasnât sure he could be anyone else when it came to what Charlie called the âintimacyâ portion of their relationship⌠Heâd managed to water it down, but it was more the sex fiend that spread his legs for an audience when heâd been texting Husk earlierâŚ
âAngel, where the fuck is my star?â Valentino snapped from just beyond his dressing room.
âFuck.â Angel muttered, tossing his phone back onto the loveseat in his dressing room and smoothing his robe around him in an attempt to calm himself a little before he went back on setâ though he was sure Valentino wouldnât have minded him looking a bit distressed given the filth he had lined up for the next scene he was having the demon film.
By the time his shooting was done and Angel was dismissed and showered, he still hadnât heard a word from Husk.
He called, his stomach twisting when the hell cat didnât answer before he felt something in him start to go cold at the idea of being ignored. Husk knew how much he hated being ignored, knew what the feeling of abandonment did to him, and heâd always made sure to tell Angel why he couldnât answer, a quick text telling him that he was having a one on one session with Charlie or that the bar was too busy for him to keep checking his phone⌠But today, there was nothing, though Husk had read the last few messages he sent some time while Angel was shooting, which had to mean this was deliberate.Â
âFucking bastard.â Angel mutters, shoving his phone in his pocket as he grabs his bag and starts toward the door. âIf he ainât gonna pay attention to me, Iâll find someone who will. Plenty of guys out there would kill for a chance to be with me.â
It sounds cocky and he knows it, but itâs not untrue.Â
Angel stalks toward the hotel. He needs to feed Fat Nuggets before he can go out, needs to change into something hotter than what he wore to the studio today, needs to walk past the bar on his way out so Husk can see exactly what heâs been ignoring all dayâŚ.
Only itâs Vaggi behind the bar when he steps into the Hazbin Hotelâs lobby, and Charlie whoâs playing waitress.
Charlie immediately abandons the tray of drinks sheâs holding on the bar when she sees Angel, leaving demons to grumble as they pick them off the tray themselves. âYouâre back!â She beams, hugging the man.
âUh, babe, a little help here?â Vaggi calls as a drink is spilled while the demons pilfer the drink tray, glass shattering as they knock into one another in an attempt to grab a drink and push their way to the front to shout orders at Vaggi, who is struggling to fill Huskâs shoes in the realm of bartending.
âOh, right!â Charlie starts to backpedal before pausing. âAngel, can you check on Husk? I told him weâd watch the bar cause his back was bothering him. I meant to check on him earlier, but it got really busy down here andââ
âCharlie!â Vaggi calls again, prompting Charlie to drop the conversation mid sentence as she sees the crowd growing to the point where she canât actually see where her girlfriend is anymore.
Angel stands there a moment, watching the princess fight her way through the crowd, apologies and polite âexcuse meâsâ falling from her lips as she wades through demons of various shapes and sizesâŚ. But he hardly really registers the sight in front of him as he thinks about why the two women are manning the bar: Husk was hurt.
He isnât quite sure how he got up to Huskâs room, doesnât remember practically sprinting up the stairs two at a time, but heâs in front of Huskâs door, his legs burning a bit more than they had been when heâs walked into the hotel, but heâs standing at the other demonâs door before he realizes it, listening to the sounds of nothingness beyond the door.Â
Huskâs room is almost never quiet when heâs in it.
Angel tries for the doorknob and to his surprise, the door opens with little force, not lockedâ barely even closed⌠Husk was never careless when it came to locking doors, a habit both he and Angel shared from different traumas.
Stepping into the room slowly, Angel took in every little detailâŚ. Nothing seemed out of place at first glance; playing cards on the table, a half finished bottle of booze beside his favorite chair that Husk just couldnât bring himself to toss out yet despite not having touched a drink in almost a month, the clock ticking on the wall, clothes strewn about the floor from the night before when Husk stripped and got into bed after work without caring about the clutter he created, magic memorabilia strewn around the roomâŚ
Soft, shaky breaths catch Angelâs attention, pulling him further into the room, toward the bed where a half covered lump lay awkwardly, trembling against the mattress.Â
Huskâs ears lay flat against his head, his tail twitching behind him and hitting the bed with a barely audible thump every few seconds, tears leaking through eyes squeezed shut tight, his face frozen in a grimace.
The anger seemed to drain from Angelâs body as he looked over the man in the bed. He looked⌠vulnerable, small almostâŚ. Heâd never imagined seeing Husk like this, never imagined he could look like this.
âWhiskers?â He hesitates, a hand half outstretched to touch the man. âAre ya ok?â
Huskâs eyes snapped open, wild and glazed with pain, tail lashing almost violently as he shoots upright at the sudden sound. He lets out a sound that might have been a growl in any other situation, but all that truly comes out is a strangled âget the fuck outâ that dissolved into a hiss of pain quickly as a hand went to his back to press into still twitching musclesâŚ. But thereâs nothing menacing in the way his face twists as he hunches forward, tail lashing.
It wasnât a pretty picture, certainly not the man Angel had been picturing when heâd been sending the messages heâd been sending earlier in the dayâŚ.
The hell cat couldnât bring himself to meet the other demonâs eyes, though he could feel the otherâs gaze on him. âWhat are you even doing here?â He rasped, swallowing hard, as if he was trying to swallow the pain down with one big gulp of air.
Angel stood there a moment, feeling like he had just intruded on something he hadn't had the right to see. âIâ Charlie said you werenât feeling too hotâŚâ His voice lacked any of the anger heâd felt at being ignored, holding only a soft sympathy as he watched as his boyfriend seemed to struggle to stay upright. âI wanted to come check on ya.â
Husk seemed to freeze at that for just a moment. He canât remember the last time someone was worried about himâŚ
âIs there anything I can do?â Angel questioned, already moving to sit beside Husk on the bed. A soft groan slipped from Huskâs lips before he could stop it as the bed dipped slightly under Angelâs weight, and instinctively, Angel reached for him, a hand resting over his where it pressed into his lower back. âJust tell me how I can helpâŚ. I wanna help, Husk.â
The silence seemed to stretch forever before Husk let out a low grumble. âIceâŚ.â the word comes out strained, but clear and Angel is already on his feet, ready to go hunting for an icepack when Huskâs hand catches his wrist. âAnd⌠maybe we donât fuck tonight?â He adds begrudgingly.
It was Angelâs turn to freeze then. âIâŚâ His voice trailed off, the bed sinking again as he sat back down, frowning as a blush spread across his cheeks. âIs that why you stopped textinâ me back? Did ya think Iâd be mad or somethinâ cause you hurt yourself?â
Husk snorted. âI had to quit the bar early tonight and I had to crawl halfway to the damn bed, textinâ wasnât exactly my top priority when I canât even stand.â He gestured to himself shakily. âBesides, you really think this is sexy, Legs?âÂ
Angel looked him over, taking in every detail⌠He could see the way his muscles still twitched and spasmed deep beneath his skin from his shoulders down to his hips, and the way ripples of pain seemed present in each feature from the way his tail flicked to the way his wings fluttered behind him with each spasm rolling up and down his spine, and the tears he was still fighting to keep at bay despite the obvious signs that heâd cried already clear on his faceâŚ.. And the way he was shaking, the type of trembling that came from struggling to stay upright far longer than you should. Husk was rightâ this was far from the sexed up image heâd had in mind when heâd been texting Husk between takes of filming earlier.
Leaning in, Angel pressed a soft kiss to the soft fur covering Huskâs temples. âI ainât worried about sexy.â He whispered into the dark fur. âIâm worried about you.â
âIâŚâ Huskâs words trail into nothingness at that, like heâd never expected an easy acceptance of anything less than perfect when it came to their relationship.
Angel didnât mind, kissing his cheek. âIâll go find ya some ice.â
Husk sat there, watching Angel walk away. The pain still lingered, his head ached from crying, and he was pretty sure that if heâd tried to stand heâd collapse on the spotâŚ. But the feeling of Angelâs lips against his temple, against his cheek lingered too, and for once, the pain he had been carrying for god knows how long didnât feel as if it was crushing him.

Once a mamaâs boyâŚ
Little doodle for motherâs day â¨
Literally one of my new favorite alastor fan art pieces!
Fizzieâs Top 10: Bobâs Burgerâs Episodes + Why
Mr. Lonely Farts (s11, e14)
This episode is honestly one of my favorites solely for Geneâs song. Donât ask me why, that is just one of the tv show songs that scratches an itch in my brain every time I hear it.
Large Brother, Where Fart Thou? (s7, e5)
I love a good sibling bonding moment, and there is no shortage of that in Bobâs Burgerâs as a whole, but I really loved seeing Gene truly step into a big brother role. I also really enjoyed seeing a more vulnerable side to Louise that didnât involve her being the one to step into that protective and caring role that we tend to see when we see her not being her usual âtoughâ self. Seeing that role switch of Louise and Gene I think shows a lot of dynamic for both characters as well as showing a lot of growth on Geneâs part, giving him more depth as a character.
Glued: Whereâs My Bob? (s6, e19)
This is another episode where the song seriously skyrockets my liking of it.
For Whom the Doll Toes (s15, e4)
This is a really good example of an episode where Louise is in that role of protector despite being the youngest of the Belcher kids. I love how much Louise thought about her brother and his feelings and how over the top she is in her explanation because I think it shows how despite her protectiveness of her family, Louise is still just a kid, and the youngest of the bunch at that. I think it truly embodies the type of protectiveness that a younger sibling can have for their older sibling, even if they donât know how to express that protectiveness outwardly.
The Millie-churian Candidate (s5, e12)
Ok, so Millie is a character I love and hate. Sheâs pushy and gives stalker vibes, which kinda hits me somewhere very personal, but I enjoy how this form of media makes it a bit less of a threat and more of a funny little joke because in the end, I donât think Millie is a danger to anyoneâs safety currentlyâŚ. Though considering this is her 2nd attempt to force a friendship with Louise, I do think she is a character who would benefit from therapy and I do kinda wish we got an episode where Millie makes a friend in a healthy, more normal way.
Friends with Burger-Fits (s5.3)
Iâm gonna be honest here, Teddy is not one of my favorite charactersâŚ.. I donât exactly hate him, but if I was forced into a universe where I had to spend a day with him or Frond, it would be a bit of a struggle for me to choose because in my eyes, both characters are pretty bad. That being said, I really love this episode because I like that Bob is exploring his relationship with Teddy because I think Bob is slightly more uneasy with making friends outside of his family and although I dislike the Teddy personally, I do think that Bob values his friendship with the handyman and I think this episode is a really good show of how much he does care for the weird regular.
The Silence of the Louise (s8, e2)
Millie-centric episodes like this are honestly super fun to watch because she does seem to simmer down with the more aggressively forceful approach to her friendship with Louise, and in this episode, I do think Louise learned to value Millie a bit more than I think she realizedâŚ. Though, i wonât lie, I did kinda think it was a little stockholm syndrome-ish the way she learned to enjoy Millieâs companyâŚâŚ But I do love that we get to see the way Millieâs mind works in this episode because I do think Millie is a very smart kid and we only ever really get to see her being unhinged.
Midday Run (s5, e8)
Most Tina episodes are honestly pretty good and I think the younger Fizzie in me finds them pretty relatable because what girl Tina's age isn't an awkward dorky fangirl at heart? I also love this episode because it focuses less on the boy crazy side of Tina that we know and gives us more of the empathetic, goal oriented Tina.Â
Topsy (s3, e16)
Evil Louise is honestly one of my favorite versions of her. Do I also love her in the later seasons when she mellows out a bit, yes, because it shows the maturity sheâs developed so farâŚ.. But seriously, Louise going through so much just to get her little bit of revenge is just⌠*chefâs kiss*
And although there are a couple other episodes that I love along the Louise revenge theme, I also think the song in this one hits different so it got me on two points here.
They Slug Horses, Donât They? (s15, e8)
Anyone who has siblings knows how sibling fights can escalate, but I loved the way this episode showed how those conflicts can look and feel when youâre a kid going through it and youâre still learning to process the feelings and the emotional toll that it takes to go through a conflict like that. Were Louise and Tina fighting over a broken toy, yesâŚ. But more than that, they were fighting over boundaries and the images they have in their mind of each other, and I think that was a really heavy thing for both girls to process so they both did it the best way they knew how. I also love that their conflict wasnât super resolved, but forgiveness came because of the bond they have anyway because I think thatâs really realistic.
Honorable mentions:
Beefsquatch (s2, e9)
This was a really good Bob and Gene episode. From the pranking to the way they handle the father/son conflict in the end.
Bad Tina (s2, e8)
I think this is actually something that can be relatable to teens, and I really like the way Linda tries to guide Tina in the right direction, and the way we get to see the âonly I get to fuck with my siblingâ dynamic between the Belcher kidsâŚ.. And as crazy and out there as Tina reading her âerotic friend fictionâ was, I also love that Tina tends to be unafraid to lean into her weirdness.
Moody Foodie (s2,e7)
The restaurant owner crashout is absolutely amazing in this episode and you cannot convince me otherwise.
House of 1000 Bounces (s 6, e11)
Regular Sized Rudy is honestly one of my favorite characters in the series despite him being a minor character in most episodes heâs in, so I was really excited on my first walk through of this series when this episode kinda featured him a bit more. I also seriously love the fact that we do get to see Louise experience care and compassion for someone outside of her family because that tends to be the only time she genuinely feels remorse in a lot of cases.

Alastor and his Mama
Alastor was always a mamaâs boy, though his grandmother was also a large influence in his life until she passed as well. His father hated this, but never made a real effort to be involved in his son outside of violence and the occasional comment about how his son would look to others given his slightly more âfeminine natureâ because of the closeness with his mother and grandmother.
His mother did her best to shield him from the worst of his fatherâs rage and disapproval, she and his grandmother seeming to overcompensate at times with the love they expressed to combat whatever he may have learned from his father.
Unfortunately, his mother couldnât always shield him from who his dad was and violence in his house was common, though it was usually aimed at his mother, Alastor was the target of his fatherâs rage from time to time too.
Alastor always knew what kind of mood his father was in by how he addressed his mother. Delphine was named after her grandmother, and hated to shorten the name out of respect, but she always became Delphi when his father was angry, especially in public where he wouldnât let his rage show. He did something similar with his son, with Alastor losing his name and becoming âboyâ whenever his father had to address or acknowledge him at all.
Alastor also put himself before his mother on multiple occasions when his father was beating her, which redirected his rage to his son rather than his wife. His mother told him countless times not to do that, but it didnât stop him.
After countless beatings, Delphineâs health declined a bit; fractures that were never tended to properly caused chronic pain across her body, and headaches that his mother would try to push through until she was sick⌠Alastor tended to his mother when she was in too much pain to go about her day or when she made herself ill. Heâd been quite the caretaker, and his mother always praised the fact that her son was so good to her because she said she knew heâd be good to his own wife someday and that was something she prayed for after enduring her own abusive marriage for so long.
When her health seemed to get worse, Alastor would stop by the herbalist in their community for valerian root. He claimed it was to help his mother sleep when her pain was bad, which he never considered a lie since he would slip two or three times the dose the healer would tell him was safe into his fatherâs usual after work cocktail to knock him out for the remainder of the night he would be home. He never told his mother, but he had heard her thank god more than a few times when she found her husband unconscious when she wasnât feeling well.Â
Delphine's favorite thing to tell Alastor when he was younger was that he was never fully dressed without a smile.... It came about as a way to cheer him up when he was really little when his father would have a fit in the morning and she'd find him cowering or crying somewhere. She would change his clothes regardless of when she'd dressed him or if they had anywhere to go that day and tickle him while she said it, prompting a genuine smile to overtake whatever negative feelings lingered. When he finds himself smiling genuinely now, he feels closer to her.
Despite their home life not always being the best, Delphine had a way of making the most mundane things magic for Alastor when he was a child whenever she could, giving the man a sense of whimsy and wonder as he grew older.
The wonder his mother created for him in his childhood was one of the biggest inspirations for him wanting to have his own radio show. He inherited his father's mean streak, but a larger part of him wanted to bring joy to people the way his mother did.
His mother crocheted all of Alastor's stuffed animals when he was a child. Not because they couldn't afford the occasional toy, but because she enjoyed doing it and because Alastor was convinced her stuffed animals were better than the ones he'd find in shops, more magical according to him when he was a boy (and yes, he still stands by that).
He spent hours in the kitchen with his mother, and although she never knew about the taste he acquired when he began cooking for himself, and of course he never forced his preference onto her and always made sure to keep âregularâ food stocked so he could cook for her when he was old enough to cook alone.
When her son got his first radio segment, Delphine gathered all her friends at their home to listen to it. Alastor was embarrassed since his first segment was small and only really consisted of him reading market reports and making a small joke or two when he could.
Although he knew well before he died that he wasnât interested in men or women, Al always promised that if he ever did manage to father a child, heâd name his first daughter after his mother.
Delphine was well aware that her son wasnât interested in women, though she had assumed that would change when his career was established, always telling her friends that he was far too ambitious to settle down before then when they asked why he hadnât brought a woman home for her to meet yet.
His mother passed away shortly after Alastor got his first real radio show gig, a result of his fatherâs abuse going too far when he was drunk one night and Alastor hadnât been there to intervene the way he had in the past. Delphine did get to listen to his very first broadcast though, which did bring her some peace when she passed since she had always wanted to live long enough to see her son reach his goals.
When she was pregnant, Delphine sang lullabies to her stomach when she felt her son kicking more than usual to soothe him. When he was young, she sang the same lullabies to soothe him to sleep then too. And as an adult, when his mother passed, he would hum the lullabies to himself at night to try to soothe himself to sleep.

Rosie headcanons?
"You really are a demon, pet...."
This woman has a home remedy for everything. Tired but can't sleep? Just feeling generally sick? You name it and she has a tea or an old wives tale that she swears by for whatever the problem is.Â
Healing has always been a big part of Rosieâs life, though now that sheâs in Hell, sheâs far more picky about who she helps since sheâs learned that not everyone who is healed will show gratitude or mercyâŚ.
During her time on earth, Rosie was unfortunately unable to conceive a child despite wanting one badly. Since womenâs reproductive health was still in the works during her childbearing years, she wasnât aware that she had any issues with her reproductive system that made pregnancy and carrying to term extremely difficult. Although she ended up in Hell, she felt god favored her in a way since she was able to collect and protect child sinners when she stumbled across them during her first few years in Pentagram City.
The children all call her âMama Rosieâ and the first time it happened, she cried.
Cannibal Town was founded to be a safe haven for people like her (cannibals), women, and children. She loves that despite the world they live in being full of dangers, Cannibal Town operates almost as an independent realm within it where itâs people feel safe and protected by her because she does enforce strict âlawsâ with consequences that keep her people in check 99% of the time.
And yes, Alastor was an enforcer of these laws when his bloodlust was at its peak after his arrival in Hell.
Despite having been a home-maker during her life, the woman cannot cook to save her life without a recipe in front of her. Alastorâs cookbooks are best sellers in Cannibal Town because of how often Rosie raved about the food she made with the radio demonâs written expertise guiding her.
During her free time, when boredom strikes, she likes to poke around for mortal energy to see if anyone is trying to reach out to spirits. She rarely makes deals though. (Alastor should feel special).
She also insists on going out dancing with friends at least once a month. And before anyone asks, no, she cannot dance, to most modern music so depending on who she goes with, she can look insane and out of place in a club. And no, that absolutely does not stop her.
Carmilla and Rosie get together once a month to discuss things and catch up, calling it an informal overlord's meeting, but really its a girls day where they talk about the reasons other overlords are getting on their nerves. No one is safe in this, including Alastor and Zestiel.
Rosie is absolutely the type of woman to bring in wounded animals to nurse them back to health. If you stick around her home or her shop long enough, animals sheâs helped tend to show up and wonder the premises or sneak in through open windows for food or affection. Rosie happily gives both.
The puffs of pink that appear around her when she teleports or conjures things up leaves behind a sweet scent that lingers long after the demoness disappears. People can almost always tell where sheâs been by the soft scent of candied hearts, vanilla, and tobacco that lingers.Â
She would be one of those people who always felt self conscious about aging (she's glad the physical signs have stopped since her arrival in Hell), but she loves her aesthetic and she loves that everyone in Cannibal Town seems to adopt it when they move in because she never feels out of place.... At least as far as looks go; with Cannibal Town being a safe have for teens and children should she find them in Hell, she does every so often find herself asking Alastor or Carmilla about slang.... Collectively, they all end up lost when she asks until Carmilla either asks one of her girls or she gets on Hell's version of Urban Dictionary. Zestiel hates this practice because Carmilla also tends to be a bit self concious about her age despite not aging physically in Hell and it leads to Carmilla complaining to him that she feels old. He's talked to Rosie multiple times, but the cycle continues because Rosie isnt the type to be shy with her questions.
Rosie has been married 4 times. She is in fact responsible for the âmysterious disappearancesâ of 3 of her previous husbandsâŚ.. but she was a very wonderful wife to that 4th one until his passing. She did eat all 4 men thoughâŚ.
While she murdered the first 3 husbands for various reasons ranging from abuse to adultery, she had a taste for human flesh prior to her first kill because she came from a family of cannibals, and while she hadnât practiced it for years when she met her first husband, after his death, she just couldnât bring herself to waste perfectly good meat.
Her fourth husband though, she ate out of love. While she had butchered the others and tossed together a soup or turned them into something simple that she could enjoy, she took her time with him; carving into his body like it was sacred, cleaning the meat and blood from the bones, and preparing a meal with love that she later enjoyed with a glass of his favorite liquor.
Alastor is the only one who knows anything about her fourth and final husband, only learning of him after Rosie had a breakdown when she lost her ringâ a ring she had carved from his bone and wore religiously.
Everyone was so in love with these two's friendship only for it to be revealed it was never a friendship at all. Were any of you hurt by the reveal?
Mini Fizziepop Take: The Friendship We Were Dealt
Ok, so hear me out I actually still think that this pairing would have a decent relationship. Alastor has been shown to have a softer spot for women, and I think that really shows with Rosie because despite his annoyance with the situation and the fact that he's only able to be as powerful as she allows with the constraints of their deal, Alastor never seems to actually want to hurt Rosie or for any harm to come to her. Was he willing to let all of Hell get blown out of existence in the end, yeah. Did he bitch and moan and grumble about her reminding him that his choices weren't his to make before the deal was broken? Also yes.... But He also seems to admire her power and despite everything, Alastor respects Rosie, and I think that goes a long way in how he is able to interact and form bonds with people.
I also don't think that Rosie ever really held any malice toward the radio demon. Was she a pissed when the deal was broken and she thought that she was going to have to make a deal with her on the lesser end of it to get him to contribute his power to helping save Hell? Absolutely... But If you look at what we see of their relationship, I don't think Rosie was ever genuinely unkind to Alastor (at least from what we get to see), and while you could argue that the song and dance and the nickname "pet" could be seen as cruel given the power dynamic between the two, I don't think that was meant to be cruel so much as it was meant to correct a behavior she needed him to understand wasn't part of the deal he made with her, a deal he sought out to make, meaning I don't think he has the type of excuse for pushing against her in the same way Husk or Angel might push against their deals because they made their deals out of self-preservation after being manipulated into situations where they were likely backed into a corner (I know we don't know Angel's full story yet, but I'm currently operating on the assumption that its a similar situation to Husk's so bear with me).... Alastor wasn't backed into a corner and blindly grabbing at whatever he could to save his own skin; Alastor sought out a deal while he was still human because he knew a man like him was going to end up in Hell at some point and he had no interest in being small and working his way up the ranks, he wanted the power the second he arrived, and I think that made his deal a lot more ironclad than he had expected because he was used to being a smooth talker and he was used to being the most clever man in the room when it came to making deals and using his words to get his way. I think Rosie having to remind him a few times here and there who was really in charge makes a lot of sense in the context of their deal.... But Rosie never actually seemed to dislike Al or feel the need to put him down just for the sake of humiliating him the way we see overlords like Vox or Val do, in fact, I think she respected the fact that not only was he a man who knew what he wanted, and went after it the way he did.
While I was disappointed to learn that their friendship was likely because of the deal, I honestly think that the deal being broken may be something that might give us a better Rosie/Alastor friendship dynamic in the season to come since the season will likely focus on Alastor's newfound freedom in some way. I personally would love to see more of their dynamic unfiltered by a deal or ownership because I think Al will have some struggles with coping with the freedom and may either struggle with a new sense of morality that he may have picked up from Rosie or I think he may go far enough to hurt someone he cares for before realizing he cares enough for it to affect him, and I think he'll need someone to act as a sort of guide in that case if the show does take his character in that way.
