“Yeah.” Roy said with a nod of his head, a little smile raising to his lips as she moved and pressed a kiss to his cheek. That felt nice. Affection between them didn’t happen all that often, due to the fact that they were both extremely damaged and extremely busy. Watching her push herself up off of the couch, he leaned back against it and relaxed, knowing that it would take her a while to get dressed. Girls always took so long to get dressed. He was pretty easy to get ready in the mornings. Grab jeans, clean pants, socks, a shirt and a hoodie. Done and dusted. “I’ll see you in a minute.”
Thea stared at the scar in the mirror, fingers lingering before she sighed, her eyes dropping to the ground. Part of her wondered if maybe she was just too damaged, and if she should truly allow him to take on the weight of being there for her through all of this. He didn’t deserve the burden, but she was too weak to push him away all at the same time. She got dressed, tidying up her makeup and reviving her hair with some product before stepping back into the main room. “Ready?” she asked quietly.
