I may be going into biofabrication but pathology will always hold a special place in my heart. So, in honor of tick season here’s some traditional art of my favorite bacteria: borrelia burgdorferi!

Guess who just found the dot brush! This is the first time I’ve tried rendering this way and it’s been very fun

This was my first ever digital drawing after a several year hiatus from traditional art. The need to draw human alastor and vincent dancing was enough to overcome 4 years of art block 👍

Step 3: Enjoy

My lab got a shipment of them probably 8 months ago and I got permission to take some home. Been taking care of them ever since, super low maintenance, and it’s been a blast.

I like the ones that are fusiform shaped with placoid scales, unfused paired pectoral fins, a rigid cartilaginous skeleton, 5-7 gill slits on the side of the head, and several rows of razor sharp teeth. Im not too familiar with birds but I’m pretty sure they’re called parakeets?

(”the days” refers to the time I spent writing the paper last week not the 1920s-1930s in louisiana) (I was alive back then (20s-30s) but I was working as a bartender in a small town in wisconsin which has since been converted to a museum because it was very haunted)

What did the cat use in the catapult? It may change my professional opinion.

Sorry, I already sold all my knowledge to some guy named william for 75¢ (in quarters) so I can’t solve integrals anymore. If you really need it solved I can go ask my pet gum ball but they don’t talk all that much so no guarantees.
