A new Inverted Fate, just in time for Halloween! There will be a video premiere in a little bit (9:30 PST/12:30 EST) for the second portion of the update! We will link a playable version when the time comes as well. Get hype! A lot of work went into this one, and we’re excited to share it all with you. Philiplol, PineWSun, Pearlymint, and Electric Sparks all contributed. Aw ye.

After many months of hiatus, Inverted Fate returns with a nice breather chapter after all the high stakes action. We hope you enjoy this return! We have other cool things planned for today’s update, including new secret pages and a few other misc things on the site, so stay tuned! He’s fine. :P Just DMed me. IRONICALLY two hours after I finished some mockup comic panels for the Undyne fight. So here’s the deal-io. Sparks ended up losing some footage and has had to remake it. He’s already remade about 50 - 60%. Our goal is to have the video done in mid to late October (in time for Deltarune’s 2nd anniversary). If this is NOT feasible, we will release comic panels first and then the animated version whenever it is ready. So! Yeah. Inverted Fate hiatus is ending one way or the other.

 There are a few reasons for this. One, not all of the technology in Fort Aquarius has been updated. The weapons and defenses are very high tech, between spear sentries, robots, and the flamethrowers. However, Undyne has only been head scientist for a short time (just a few years), and much of her effort and energy has fallen elsewhere.The video recording equipment was simply more accessible and with Undyne also juggling her own cameras all over the Underground, all the traps for Hotland, the DT experiments, holo-sky, and various other projects, some things are just works in progress.Also, consider that obsolete for the surface doesn’t mean obsolete for the Underground. Their technology was reproduced based on discarded human tech. Yes, they have DVDs and such now, but Fort Aquarius is several decades old. Probably close to fifty years old at the very least.

We want to work on other parts of the comic, but right now, we only have one lead animator for Fireglobe, and he’s busy with the Undyne fight. The Undyne fight and Part 49 will also be dubbed!That being said, we are always happy to recruit more animators if there are people with the skills to contribute. Sparks is fantastic and will continue to be our head honcho in terms of animated projects, but IF is a huge project, and having more hands on deck would certainly help in future dubbing endeavors!

SUPER BELATED ANNIVERSARY… thing. This is a rough animatic I started some months ago. It’s in a very crude state of completion right now, but I felt I might as well show what I have so far. Main things missing are backgrounds, refined character art for Asgore, and just overall polishes. Again, emphasis on roughness here. I also gotta figure out how to get Adobe Animate to actually export its camera settings or for Adobe After Effects to at least pick UP those camera settings so I don’t have to do such a messy zoom.

At long last, Part 2 of Prime Time Turnabout has arrived! If you haven’t yet, you can check out Part 1 here. We plan to eventually release a combined video of both parts with editing fixes on part 1, but since I’ve been working on this for over a month, I think I’ve earned some downtime. :P If you’re new to Inverted Fate, you can find the full comic on our website or on various other links here!
