Rough is the older bro by a year and a half. Tumble was shorter than him for several years, then when he turned 10 he got a growth spurt and Rough was very bitter about it.

The whole rhyming shtick was Tumble’s idea. He pitched it once when they were kids about to fight some bums, and Rough loved it so much that it stuck.

I like to think that Tumble appreciates metal/heavy rock music solely because of the fucking black boots and spiky bracelets he wears. He gets called emo a lot by Rough and then Tumble has to explain the difference categories of emo and goth-

They both loooooved their momma’s cooking, and Tumble still has some of her recipes. But the only problem is that it’s written in Italian, and neither of them can speak or read Italian. So sucks for them ig.

Tumble is actually a decent cook if he tries, he spent a lot of time in the kitchen with their momma. Rough though? NEVER LET HIM COOK. EVER.

They used to know Tangle back when they were first kicked out of their house, and she taught them how to survive on the street. They went their separate ways, and I honestly don’t think they remember each other..

I think Rough would only date people just to say he did/to look cool, but would actually be a really shitty partner to any woman he dates. Buuuut he’s a little less shitty when dating men….He doesn’t know why. Either internalized homophobia or internalized aroace. Your call.

^ Tumble will date any gender, he doesn’t not care. He would like to date to eventually marry someone but his personality needs some work, and he has to stop dating people who will hurt him/who are uninterested.

Rough is like 55% sure that him and Tumble come from different dads, but he won’t say anything because he wouldn’t care either way. Thats his bro whether half blood or full blood.

^ (Tumble is classified as an albino in his wiki, so I’m going based off that) Tumble was the only albino kiddo in their family, raising Rough’s suspicions that they have different fathers. He does not know how biology works.

They both were expelled from the only school in their area, so their pops tried to make them get jobs around town so they wouldn’t just be bums. They were fired constantly because they were just children and had no knowledge on the environment they were working in and destroyed things on accident. Several factories, bars, and construction sites.

They had 2 older siblings and 2 younger siblings who they’re no longer in contact with. They all had healthy-ish relationships but after the two got kicked out they lost contact. Neither parties bothered to try and reach out.

I don’t think their mother even knew they got kicked out. She just came home from grocery shopping and they didn’t come back. The older kids had to break it to her after a few days and she was heartbroken.

Tumble really really REALLY wants a pet chao, and has bought books and watched videos on how to take care of them, but Rough always says no. Not because he thinks Tumble is irresponsible, but because he just doesn’t like chao. He does not want one of those weird things following them everywhere. So to make up for this, he takes Tumble to whatever chao gardens are in the area. But complains the whole time.

^ Tumble is surprisingly a natural chao magnet, and Rough is not. Clutch gets jumped by any chao within a 6 mile radius of him.

They both partake in common harmful substances such as smoking and drinking. Tumble is trying to quit (and isn’t doing well at it. He’s trying though.) and Rough does NOT want to quit.

They both smoke the Mary-Jane, but Rough cannot help himself and says the same STUPID joke every time “well it’s called skunk weed for a reason hahaha” and Tumble smacks the back of his head.

Rough has that pocket dimension bullshit in his tail where he hides books, his glasses, his bombs, and other necessities. Tumble had some stuff in his tail too, but because it’s removed he doesn’t have them anymore. It’s just kinda- -stuck in his old tail.

Rough needs reading glasses, but never wears them because he hates them and they make him look like a nerd. But he doesn’t wanna wear contacts because he hates touching his eyes.

^ (during bad guys) Rough’s vision is so shittily farsighted that he’s immune to Starline’s hypnotism. He was poking around the lab at night and saw something he wasn’t supposed to see, so when Starline tried to make him forget, it had no effect on Rough. So Starline hit him over the head with a pipe instead and dragged him back to his bed.

Surprisingly, they love antique shopping. Tumble likes to look for old poetry books, and Rough likes to look for old weaponry.

Rough learned to make bombs from one of their older neighbors back in their hometown. He was a war veteran and used to make bombs to fight off Robotnik, and taught Rough how to make stink bombs as well as how to use weapons like guns and knives, much to his mother’s dislike.

Tumble struggles quite a bit with the architectural design in every mobian city, considering his size. He’s very cramped and has trouble since everything is small compared to him. So he gets frustrated and punches things and runs off.

^ if he tried to use facilities in human cities, he’d have the same problem except everything is too big for him now. He doesn’t fit in anywhere.

Rough was the only kiddo in their family who wasn’t completely afraid of their dad. This tiny little bastard would be happy to throw hands with that guy. Sure, he’d lose, but he’d still be confident and willing to fight again.

Tumble has been taking therapy sessions 1. To help with his anger and 2. He just wants to get better. Rough told him “ever since you went to that therapist, you’ve been a complete psycho!” And Tumble is trying to find the logic in that statement.

Rough likes to fight just to fight. Hes not afraid of throwing hands, even with bosses. Clutch one raised his voice to Tumble and Rough grabbed that old man by his collar and tried to strangle him. He would’ve killed him had Tumble not stopped him and talked him out of committing senicide.

Tumble’s tail was taken by let’s saaaaaaaay 4th boss they’ve worked for. An eccentric businesswoman who at the time, worked in illegal trading and transportation of illegal goods. Rough and Tumble were only teens at the time, so when the police questioned them, they were super nervous about going to jail and they let everything spill. The businesswoman was obviously furious, and interrogated all of her employees with terrifying threats. Tumble, in fear of Rough getting punished, stepped forward and told her that he ratted her out. Since he was just a kid, the woman went ‘easy’ on him and…well, you know.

^ Rough still feels guilty after all these years because he was too chicken to take the fall. He was supposed to protected Tumble, but he didn’t. He always tries to “make up” for it, but there’s nothing he can think of that could possibly make it up for losing an important part of yourself. Tumble still has nightmares.

Rough is a lot like their father in many ways. He doesn’t like showing much emotion, he has a very short temper, he has the same fur colors as him, and he enjoys alcohol. Like a LOT. Tumble doesn’t say anything because he doesn’t wanna give Rough a complex.

I mentioned in another post, but Rough is good at scrapbooking. He likes to collect things from past adventures and put it on a secret book he has hidden in his tail.

Tumble has secretly dreamt of being a dad one day and Rough thought it was a dumb idea for him. Why waste 18 years of your life taking care of a little goblin that’ll never truely appreciate you? But when Tumble pitched the idea that Rough could be the fun uncle, and a godfather, Rough switched up immediately and is now playing wingman in hopes that he’ll get a niece/nephew.

They’re both nocturnal animals, and prefer the nightlife, but will stay up through the day if something interesting is going on/they need to work.

They hibernate through the winter, but never in the same place because they don’t have a house. Sometimes they manage to hibernate in an unused hotel bedroom they broke into, sometimes they have to settle for a crappy abandoned building with no insulation.

Never EVER let them meet the Archie character “Geoffrey ‘I’m-attracted-to-16-year-old-girls’ St. John”. He will never be found. They will kill him godfather style. Fuckin’ disgrace to all skunk kind-

They initially bonded over how much they all hate Sonic and Tails collectively and would be happy to beat tf out of those two.

Eventually Surge and Kit get hired as employees for the chateau if the boys decide to reopen it!

Surge’s occupations are; delivery girl, bellhop (luggage), janitor.

Kit’s occupations are; bellhop (greeting and luggage), receptionist, housekeeping, laundry, room service, treasurer,- - everything. He basically juggles everything that other people need to do. He’s exhausted.

Tumble likes to put Kit on his shoulder so he feels taller. Kit was kinda nervous at first but quickly loved it bc he felt taller than everyone else.

Rough has a huge gun and antique weapon collection that Kit and Surge think is so cool but they’re never allowed to touch anything. EVER.

They found out that Kit can also make objects with water and solidify them with ice. He made a machine gun from ice for Rough while they were fighting someone and Rough was super excited and asked for more ice guns.

Surge and Kit never really learned how to do like- -normal things you’re supposed to learn as a kid. I mean they learned to kill and how to survive a battlefield, but they don’t know how to do basic shit. Like tying their shoes or how to make easy meals. Rough and Tumble had normal-ish childhoods, so they had to teach these basic things to Surge and Kit.

^ Kit was wearing a pair of shoes that had laces and kept tripping on the untied laces, and Tumble told him to stop walking so he could tie his shoes. Kit kinda just- froze for a second because he didn’t understand what he meant. So they sat on a bench and Tumble took 10 minutes to show him how to tie his shoes and to teach him different ways to do it. Kit was very happy and then asked if he could teach Surge when they got back because she doesn’t know either.

They’ve attempted to make a band once. A small one with drums (Tumble), piano (Kit), bass (Rough), and guitar (Surge). They’re actually pretty decent with enough practice but unfortunately their only audience was Clutch and some of the robots. They were not amused.

They do sparring/trainings together, and the skunks try to teach Surge and Kit how to fight w/o their powers in case of an emergency. Surge fights dirty (hitting below the belt/headshot/aggressively/etc) and Kit has very weak punches.

Surge likes to poke Tumble to send very small shocks of electricity so his fur poofs up and he looks like a cloud and they both guffaw like dorks.

They have a pool/bathhouse somewhere hidden in the chateau, and Kit likes to sit in the very bottom of it with an air bubble and be alone with his thoughts. This has been a problem a lot because the others thought he drowned and jump in to rescue him-

They all have different perspectives on Starline. To Surge and Kit, he’s this terrible person who traumatized them and ruined their lives in irreversible ways. To Rough and Tumble, he’s just some flamboyant douche who tried to sell them out. They don’t know he’s dead.

Rough and Surge are both heavy drinkers (Tumble is trying to quit) and they have drinking contests that get so out of hand because it ends with them trying to hit each other with the bottle.

Rough and Tumble found out the hard way that Surge and Kit are very hard to kill. Rough was showing off his guns but the trigger went off and shot Surge in the face by accident. Rough was terrified and about to pass out but Surge just stood back up and walked off like nothing happened.

Kit has a tendency to fall asleep around the chateau because of overworking himself. Once, he fell asleep clinging to Rough’s tail like a teddy bear. Rough was initially disturbed, but refused to wake him up or move him. So he just stood still.

Surge and Kit tend to vent to Tumble a little more than Rough because Tumble is a tad bit more understanding.

^ when Surge gets to vent, she lets her hair down and Tumble likes to brush and braid it for her while she talks. She asks how he knows how to take care of hair, and he says that he used to do his mom’s hair.

All of them are collectively trying so hard to be better people but it’s hard when everyone around you is a total DICK- ESPECIALLY THAT BLUE BASTARD-

Surge eats her pizza slices sideways. No one taught her to eat a pizza correctly. When she did that for the first time, Tumble had to prevent himself from gagging because why tf would you do that. Kit eats his crust-first and Rough had to excuse himself from the table so he wouldn’t have to yell at a child.

Surge loves to rage bait Rough because he gets angrier faster than Tumble does. “Ok, says ‘insert rod A into slot B’.” “That’s wha-“ “if you say ‘that’s what she said’ one more time, I’m gonna hit you.”

They’re all party animals, and love going to clubs or big parties in the area at night. Kit is always the designated driver.

For like months Rough assumed Surge was Kit’s mom because he wasn’t sure of what their relationship was. When he asked Surge about how her son feels upon a matter, she was super confused bc she didn’t have kids. And then she started yelling at Rough “DO I LOOK MOM AGE TO YOU???”

Kit tried to help Tumble get a pet chao he always wanted by helping him make a presentation titled “why we should get a chao” and showing it to Rough. Even after presenting, Rough said absolutely not.

^Because their A plan failed, they had to go with their B plan…..”PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE”-

Surge found out she can use static electricity to attract herself to surfaces like walls and ceilings. She scared the shit out of Rough once because she was clinging to the ceiling of his bedroom and scared him awake while screaming like in the exorcist-

It was INCREDIBLY hard for them to figure out a rhyming shtick for all 4 of them. (I suck at rhyming so I’m not making one rn lol)

Kit actually really likes poetry and quotes a lot of classic poems but Tumble claims they’re not real poems because they don’t rhyme. Kit had to host a seminar to explain poetry to these uncultured fucks-

Rough and Tumble are terrified of going back to prison, so Kit found a way to clear their names from the Everhold prison database. That doesn’t mean they’re ENTIRELY free from Everhold because obviously the police will still recognize them, They’re still wanted in OTHER places, but Kit just put a block in the road for now. They were very grateful and Kit was grateful for validation because he doesn’t normally get that.

Everyone except Kit is super competitive about literally anything. Swimming, video games, pool, etc. Kit has to keep score.

The skunks shared a lot of “first” holidays with Surge and Kit because they didn’t really celebrate in the lab, and all their memories of celebrating were wiped out from their minds. Christmas, Halloween, stuff like that. It was both fun and exhausting because they kept asking questions every 5 minutes about why a fat old guy in a red suit is allowed to break into your house and leave stuff AS IF THEY’RE A DAMN SANTA DICTIONARY-

They’re essentially like a knockoff-team Sonic. Sonic (Surge), Kit (Tails), Starline (Eggman) while Rough and Tumble take the roles of Knuckles and Amy seeing as they’re both super strong like them. Which is which? Idk. All Surge needs is her version of Shadow and she’s all set

They all annoy the ever loving hell out of Clutch, and he’s waiting for the day he can kill them all or at least abandon them.
