So like I’m looking through issue #55 for references of Starline’s lab, right? And I noticed there’s a LARGE number of tubes, similar to the ones Surge and Kit were kept in.

Now take a close look at this one, see anything?

People. There were people in these tubes. Not just Surge and Kit. Failed experiments? Mutations? Who knows.

But then I remembered something from a while back..from the old issues…

MISSING PEOPLE POSTERS.

In this issue, after the metal virus is over, the chaotix said they had a bunch of missing people cases.

It’s never said if they were found or not.

DID STARLINE KIDNAP THE PEOPLE WHO GOT LOST DURING THE METAL VIRUS?

HOW MANY FAILED “SURGE’S” AND “KIT’S” WERE THERE BEFORE OUR SURGE AND KIT WERE SELECTED??

HOW MANY LIVES HAS STARLINE RUINED AND ENDED?!

I mean the writer of Godzilla crossover even finds Enigma one of his favorite characters.

I feel like Starline is one of those characters that need a backstory. I mean we got an backstory on why Mimic is the way he is, why can't Starline have one?

I always headcanon that Starline was an underappreciate genius who felt the world is boring until he witness Eggman's deeds that consider marvelous and felt that his genius could succeed for the future. This is kinda a similar headcanon to one of Stone's reasons why he admire Eggman.

I have a personal headcanon/theory that he was raised in an Eggman-loving cult. Raised to love and worship Eggman’s ideals.
