Sayaka gasped as she rounded towards the shop worker. Of all the things that Kyoko could have called her, she called her an unripened blueberry. The nerve! Reddened cheeks contrasted against her blue hair and eyes. âDo it. I dare you to throw me out!â she challenged. She wasnât going to have someone treat her like trash for going along with the whole nickname game.
Crossing her arms across her chest, her lips pursed as she pushed her weight onto one of her feet. She stared at Kyoko and fought back the urge to irritatingly tap her foot against the floor. âIâll keep calling you Pop Rock if you keep calling me Blueberry!â she promised. She leaned forward and raised her hands, clapping her hands to emphasize her words. âMy name is Sayaka. Sa-ya-ka Mi-ki!â
Turning away from the counter and Kyoko, Sayaka perused through the candy, dragging her fingers against the various buckets and different bars. But then there was the sound of cracking wood and shattering glass, and Sayakaâs shoulders tensed as she looked up and saw a giant hand reaching for her. Air quickly caught in her throat as she forgot to breathe, watching as Kyoko shoved past her in slow motion.Â
Finally she shuddered a breath, gasping for some of the air around her as she realized the dire situation. There was a monster. And Kyoko went and thought, and- Sayaka dropped her bag as her memories flashbacked to a headless body collapsing against the ground, and the bluenette called forth her own magical transformation, calling forth her own sword and jumping through the hole in the shop.
âWait! I can help!â she called out, rushing towards Kyoko and the creature which looked like a giant hairless rabbit. She cringed as she stared at it. âAh, itâs so ugly!â
That name...that name...it resonated with her to the point that she missed her next strike and barely catch herself with her weapon. What in the hell was that? sheâs never acted like this before...she never missed a hit before on a monster. Looking back to yell at Sayaka, even thinking of her dammed name caused her head to throb, Kyoko saw a flash and Sayaka was transformed into a- she didnât have a chance to yell before her vision went dark and there was no longer any sound reaching her ears.
â.....p-please! Just listen! Itâs us! Your friends!â
Kyoko heard a familiar voice shout out at the Witch that Kyoko was fighting and it took a moment for her to register that it was Madoka shouting those words. Kyoko didnât have much time to shout what she had in mind before another wave of water crashed into her and almost knocked her off balance.
She heard her own voice ring out, the subtle hint of dread tainted it, âI-I donât think itâs workinâ Madoka! No oneâs tried this before, because theyâre all dead-â Kyokoâs words were cut short by a sword attack to her side and the vision stopped.
Suddenly, Kyokoâs vision returned to Wonderland and to the creatureâs fist coming close to her face. Out of reaction she created a barrier to stop the hit but it still broke through. Thankfully the barrier took most of the force and so Kyoko could block the rest with her spear.
The light from the Sun almost blinded her, her vision was slightly blurry, and she felt wetness on her cheeks, âYa got a hit in, ya damn freak! Let me repay the favor!â
Rushing forward, Kyoko stabbed the creature in the shoulder and vaulted over the creature and met her eyes with Sayakaâs,  âIf it keeps ya from callinâ me that stupid nick name, then Iâll call ya Sayaka. As long as you call me Kyoko. Now, letâs just kill this ugly piece of shit!â With a shout Kyoko managed to create an illusion to try and distract the monster. She noted that the fake Kyoko had a blue spear instead of red and she cursed.
âWell, maybe itâs ugly and stupid...â
