Working on a joint to secure this dowel to the leg of #LuciaInesHolgado's baby gym. Since I was drilling the "mortise" with a forstner bit, I decided to round off the spline instead of squaring off the corners of the mortise. I think it looks better, but was also way easier! I didn't know that I would have to give our house a bath once a year. Starting with the roof deck, I'll have to scrub and re-finish a lot of the cypress siding that has darkened with the weather (the top guardrail has been scrubbed).
