Except that’s kind of a simplification because it’s implied that the amnesiac soul in Harrow’s body is at least a little bit part-Harrow and part-Gideon. And she only kissed Gideon because she thought Gideon looked sad, she actually thinks redheads are very unattractive.

You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing.
