Like, it's obvious that the whole thing was about a woman battling external expectations and impostor syndrome brought upon her by said external expectations and likely was Not intended to be anything other than that. It was written by cis people, for a relatively formulaic show meant mostly just to sell toys, in mid 2010's. (Unless someone comes at me with proof that im wrong, and someone in the writers room/directors board IS trans? Would be dope as hell tbh)

But a huge lot of lines related to the arc still hit me in a very trans way. And ESPECIALY the whole "All of you are real knights, and no one can take that away from you. Even Lance, no matter what he does! But i'll never be one! Maybe i am just playing a knight after all!" from s1ep6, The Golden Castle

Like, replace "knight" with "guy" and this would be something an insecure trans guy would've said to his cis guy friends, when frustrated with outsider transphobia. (Though it is not a 1 to 1 analogy, throwing shit at Lance for not being much a proper knight in the context is entirely reasonable, but saying that a man acting unmanly would make him less of a man would've been kinda icky as fuck)
