Like seriously out of all the characters in the show you could ship either one of them with (like idk someone their actual fucking age) you ship someone with someone young enough to be their kid. It isn’t cute to like this ship or any like it, it’s actually extremely weird and gross.

he's seen both star wars and star trek but he prefers star wars (pains my heart to say this as a trekkie but it's totally accurate)

he can play the electric guitar (because the constant electric guitar noises in dp have caused me to associate the sound with him)

while he's not super good in school he has a ton of insane practical skills that freak people out. he's just kind of picked things up either out of necessity or from helping his parents in the lab. he knows first aid, he can fix a car even though he's never owned one, he can cook decently well. He might not know the names of the tech that makes up the ecto weapons his parents build but he knows how to fix them. This is also how he got the portal running which led to the accident in the first place.

Contrary to popular belief Danny actually really loves learning new things. We kind of see this in the episode where he has to do that make up test with lancer. Once he gets interested in a subject he's actually super curious about things and wants to know them from the inside and out. School just isn't super interesting. He got his curiosity from his parents, it's just that the unknown world he wants to learn about is space and not the ghost zone.

his highest grade is in biology. his lowest is in math (the show makes enough cracks about this that it feels kinda obvious).

"going ghost" was actually a bit that he and tucker had before the accident to refer to death, kinda the way people say "unalive".

he was a really creepy kid. he was actually just super shy and didn't talk much but he had this thousand yard stare that unnerved everyone around him. one time Jazz woke up in the middle of the night to five year old Danny watching her sleep and she got so scared she slept with the lights on for a month straight (he had a nightmare but was nervous about waking her up)

Danny has always kinda not minded the idea of death. He's actually pretty interested in morbid stuff. Aunt Alicia offered to take Jazz and Danny hunting when Danny was like nine and he's the only one who took her up on it. She taught him all about how they prepare the meat and how they can preserve the pelts of animals and different ways they can use the bones and he was super interested. This lead to his short lived taxidermy hobby that he abandoned after fifth grade Paulina saw him trying to pick up roadkill from the side of the road and freaked out. Now he just has a bunch of preserved animal skulls and stuff on his shelves, and he still goes hunting with Alicia when they visit.

he also has a ton of model or lego spaceships. his favorite way to destress is to turn on a tv show or some music and zone out while building something.

someone asked him in the sixth grade who his crush was and he paniced and answered "Paulina" and he's just kind of stuck with that ever since. Sixth grade Paulina, who certainly did not forget the "fenton-kid-tries-to-pick-up-dead-squirrel" incident of 1999, was not super happy to hear this.

sometimes he babysits youngblood to give his assistant a break. he is not asked if he wants to babysit youngblood. youngblood is just kind of dropped off and danny has to spend the day playing with him. he actually doesn't mind that much, especially when youngblood was in his astronaut phase.

he and tucker totally made a youtube channel and they just use it for random nonsense. sometimes tucker has danny use his ghost powers to stage a haunting and they get like thousands of views. most of the time they just post csgo clips.

I loved the show Danny Phantom as a kid, but even back then, I felt like the parents had some issues. They loved their and kids and weren't abusive or anything, but I felt like their household was still dysfunctional enough that it was fucking up their kids. Like not abuse, but maybe a little neglectful in some ways.

Early on in the show, you can tell Jazz is parentified. She's reading about child psychology and is going out of her way to fix whatever issues she thinks Danny has. She acts like his mother, not his sister, and bare in mind she's only like two or three years older than him. Usually this kind of behavior happens when the kid feels the parent is not taking care of them the way they should. In other words, I think Jazz felt like the parents weren't giving Danny the proper support, so she felt she needed to step up and take care of her little brother herself

I feel like the Christmas episode also highlighted how dysfunctional the parents were. In the episode, the (turkey, which was cooked in a dangerous, modified microwave) tried to attack the kids, and Jazz had to protect Danny herself. The parents were so busy arguing with each other that they didn't even notice. The parents argued like crazy every Christmas apparently. When Danny was a baby, they were so busy arguing with each that they didn't notice a male dog peeing on Danny until baby Danny started crying. The parents were so horrible every Christmas that Danny got to where he resented the whole holiday in general. Also, fighting in front of your kids is just kinda a terrible thing to do. My own parents did that, so I know first-hand how it affects the kids.

Also, I feel like the parents consistently provided an unsafe environment for the kids at home. There are multiple times in the show where the parents' inventions put the kids in danger, like the turkey incident. I also remember an incident where some hot dogs came alive the same way and attacked them. The parents need to keep that stuff far from the kids, not out in the kitchen where it could hurt the kids. You'd think they'd know better after the incident with Vlad years ago, which was also the dad's fault. Even Danny ending up with ghost powers wouldn't have happened if they had properly secured the lab. They should have locked the door to the lab or something. Danny could have easily died instead of ending up with ghost powers, and it would have partly been on them for not securing the lab.

I also feel like just being obsessed with ghosts in general is detrimental for their children. In the episode where Jazz has the reporter lady interview the mom, you can tell that Jazz really wants her mom to just act normal. A child like Jazz shouldn't have to worry about her adult parents just acting normal. The parents needed to separate their work from their home life at least a little for the kid's sake. It sounds like Jazz was starving for some sense of normalcy, which is sad.
