Schiele Klimt’in kullandığı süslü yozluğu yalınlaştırarak çiftler arasındaki psiko-seksüel dürtüleri yansıtır. İzleniyormuşluk hissi, güvensizlik, dizlerin yerde dua eder konumda olması o dönemde gençler için hazırlanan ‘selbstbeherrschung’ kendini kontrol kitaplarına bir tepkiyi dile getirir.

Bu iki resmin karşılaştırılması Klimt ve Schiele arasındaki üslup farkını kolayca ortaya koyar. ‘Klimt cinsel ilişkiyi kutsallaştırır, Schiele ise kutsal bir eylemi cinsel ilişkiye dönüştürür.’
