i think it's crazy that if you don't fit into the arbitrary category you were assigned to based on your genitalia you're expected to transition with cosmetic hormones and surgery to fit into the other arbitrary category instead of embracing those interests regardless of your assigned category.

I wanted to be a boy growing up because I saw that my father and brother got to play outside or sit around, whilst my sister and I had to help my mom in the kitchen and clean up simply because we were girls.

i find it interesting how “princess” has become a euphemism for “spoiled brat” when being a princess was historically and objectively a much less cushy job than being a prince where you were bred and groomed to be sold off young, impregnated and raped by a pedophile until he or his house got the heir they needed (or just because), and then died before the age of 30 from the complications resulting or just became a fixture of court with your own duties to look after same as him if you survived. like it irritates me to no end how romanticized one of the most horrific jobs in history was. it was literally private prostitution. that was literally what marriage was—especially for women of the upper class. i find the fact that it’s one of the most romanticized occupations in society for women infinitely galling. that little girls dream of being cinderella. that it was ever an aspiration. it is proof of how alien women are to their own history on a collective scale. i could forgive it if the fixation of the fantasy was on the castle (a longing to escape poverty) instead of the prince (so called “love”). it’s so fucking disgusting.

I agree with this. My strongest agreement with her above statement is that eastern violence against women is mystified, whilst with white men it’s described as mental illness, or some other excuse. For example, white men absolve accountability when a man of a different race commits an act of violence by saying it’s due to his race, whilst the root cause of it all all is being male. Or when acts of pedophilia occur in the Middle East, white men act as if they are not doing the same thing in western countries. What I agree with most is that honour killing is not much different from regular femicide committed by white men, or men of any color. It still results from male entitlement over the females they believe they own.
