"Dogs are menace to my kind, they like to nip and bite inappropriately." Trot gives a snort, "Well obviously youâve never seen the monsters in my game. They sharp jagged beaks for tearing through flesh." they hop a bit and make a circle, "They love eating humans and theyâre big and strong!"
"Anthrax is a biological weapon in my game. It kills the weak fast, if youâre strong youâll build up a natural resistance to it and become a carrier." the fox muzzle has a very wide smile on it.
"Not everything, everything. Just a lot of the bigger animals are forced to leave, so they get very desperate for food." they sit in  the dirt and scratch at their face, "Itâs easy as a pet, just being fed instead of having to find it yourself." Trot spits to the side in disgust.
"It is! I think itâs good for lizards. We have giant lizards in our game too but ahh yes we need the winters to break the zombies and the locust in game they die out en mass and rot in the spring thaw."Â
Sekhmet raised an eyebrow, she wasnât found of dogs as well. â and I plan not too. I already have ta deal with vultures here, another monstrous avian would not be welcome.â She dug her claws into the dirt thoughtfully. She had never eaten human before. The ones here were too wily and intelligent to be caught. Though the ones from other gamesâŠ..hmm, maybe she should talk to her pride about this.
Trots smile unnerved the feline. Anthrax didnât sound very funny. â I take it your one of the strong ones then.â Her eyes narrowed and she instinctively arched her back. â If you dared bring something so deadly into my game, I will rip you ta pieces.â If the little fox had brought a disease her, the entire game would be doomed. Nobody had immunities to out of game diseases.
âItâs more satisfying ta hunt for yourself. More personal, make yourself known to your prey so they tremble in fear whenever you so much as sneeze in their direction.â To make her point, Sekehmet dramatically turned her head to glare a nearby lizard. It scuttled away faster than you could say âlunch.â
She gaped in horror, not believing what she was hearing. âZombies! Â The locus and lizards sound bad enough.â Sekhmetâs tail thrashed anxiously. âWhat kind of horrible game are you from!?â
"Eh well not exactly avian. Hybrid like me!" Trot kind of coughs "You know how ah there's ... well never mind it's hard to explain." and Trot is not an expert at teaching. It's a second or two of silence save for the sound of their tail dusting the surface of the rock. When they stand up their butt is dirt colored it's pretty hilarious.
âI guess? I've had the vaccine.â Trot gives a loud SNORT. âI wouldn't do that, plus our game cleans out the cache of anyone who's leaving. It's a safe fail because of viruses. It was a console release originally too so I think that's why it's there.â Trot rubs their left eye for a second.
âWell, not to be offensive but you're already pretty damn scary when you don't even try.â their smile is less spooky than their grin, and one sided at that. âDo you talk to the others of your kind much? Do they all think like you do? In my game, I haven't met any other animals who can talk ... er.â they sigh.
âYeah they're pretty much overkill. It's a modern first person shooter, you know how violent these things are now? There's at least an option to turn off the gore, and this is the arcade version.â Â
