Like, the little quips back and forth with each other, thier silly little banta the way they act like two people who have known each other all thier lives and will stick by each other through thick and thin, just makes me smile in a way no other ship in the book douse. There is somthing so refreshingly down right sweet about them, they feel like a real and tangible relationship and that's what makes them so silly and tragic

I think my favorite part of Holy Terrors was going in to it knowing there was a threeway but having no idea who was involved.

So I've been thinking about this specific thing since Holy Terrors was announced:

Little Thieves is a Goose Girl from the perspective of the maid who stole a princess identity and then gose off in a wonderfull and crazy direction. Likewise Painted Devils is another lose retelling of a Grimm Fairytale, bearing a closer resemblance to The Six Swans or The Seven Ravens, where in both a girl sets out on a quest to find/save her brothers.

So with this patten in mind, and the plot of Holy Terrors being revealed it seemed safe to assume Holy Terrors was going to be a lose retelling of the fairytale Godfarther Death. And it is, but there is a really neat detail that explained why the first tale:Godmothers felt so familiar first time I read it.

So in Godfarther death, a poor couple have just had thier 13th child and the man sets out on the high road to seek out a godparent for his child.

The first person he comes achross is God, who offers to be the godfarther, but the man refuses stating that God condones poverty and continues. (sounds like a certain God of fortune)

The next person the man meets is the Devil (and its worth noting Devil is specifically the wording hear) who offers to be godfather, but the man declines saying the Devil deceives man kind.

And the man keeps walking and meets death who makes the same offer but this time the man agrees.

So a being that condones poverty, a deceitful Devil and the literal incarnation of death all offer a parental role of a thirteenthchild? Sounds familiar.
