#FEB8D2 my Beloved

I’ve had a crazy final semester so I didn’t actually start thinking about making a grad cap until this last Tuesday (since my final thing was due on Monday haha)

I knew I had to do something Phineas and Ferb themed, so I started with writing down quotes that I liked!

I was planning to do a couple designs with some of the different quotes but I immediately fell in love with this Curtain Call / Time Spent Together concept (which felt fitting) so I actually just ran with this design!

So I booted up photoshop and made a mock-up using:

A picture of ribbon I was planning to use

Flowers I had and was planning on using (that I had laid on my cap to see how I wanted to maybe arrange them)

And of course these last day of summer screenshot that I love dearly (I spliced the two together so I could have Isabella smiling)

The purpose of the photoshop was largely to get the sizing of the characters and text for me to print out!

I actually did this whole design on some cardboard I cut out and velcroed to my hat (caught up on some drawfee/spilled ink while I hand sewed velcro this morning haha)

The plan being I could glue watercolor paper to the cardboard and paint the background there (for texture reasons, then glue ribbon around the edge to made it look nice! And that’s exactly what I did! :)

Then I hot glued flowers and used foam tape to elevate everyone and the lettering!

And here's their full outfits. Obviously these are based on the text of the fic!

Isabella is said to be wearing a simple, unadorned dress in chapter 8 which given, was the chapter with the mixer but since chapter 12 is from Ferb's perspective and this is the only outfit he's seen her in, I took the creative liberty that it was her normal dress. I based it off her look in the show, but rather than a dress over a high neck t-shirt, I combined it into just a pink dress. I also decided no belt to make it look a little more different. Her hair is said to be in a ponytail in chapter 8 so once again creative liberties I'm making that her default look. And then Mary Janes for shoes because for a long time I thought her shoes in the show were Mary Janes for some reason (the vibes is my best explanation). Oh yeah and she's explicitly stated to be wearing an orange safety vest in chapter 12 during this scene so that's why it's in the comic, I just wanted to draw her "default look" in case I wanted to draw anything else from this fic (mwahaha)
