I dunno which week I am today but here goes the result from the last posting.
I could see less red acnes and my skin is recovering. My current skin hygiene is only Cosmoderm and sometimes I use Clean & Clear Oil Control Film to remove oil (only use when you feel your skin is oily).
Changing my skin routine from retinol to just Cosmoderm W-1. I saw quite fast effect especially on my forehead (bottom picture). I guess the scars took longer time to recover. Let’s wait for another week.
Hello week 2! I guess I get lazier nowadays especially when there are so many deadlines to meet.
I stopped doing the skin routine for almost a week (the only reason because I was too lazy to put up all the chemicals on my skin) so I guess I reap what I sow?
How to be consistent in applying the things on the skin and making it as a routine?
Week 1 of feeding retinol to my broken skin. Hoping to see better development in the next weeks.
The left pictures were all taken from last week before I started this experiment. Actually, I am always impatient when it comes to waiting for the result. By making this decision and posting it here, I guess I will be able to track the progress and be disciplined enough to follow this routine at least for a month.
From briefly scrolling through some beauty articles, I found out that retinol is good for anti-aging skin and at the same time helps reducing red flaws. Once it has been applied to the skin, it works to normalize the skin and provide healthier-looking skin.
Anyway, further reading done and I found out additional tips to help boosting the result. A SUNSCREEN IS THE KEY. If only I know that sunscreen helps a lot in taking care of my skin, I would have apply it and make it a routine.
Now I regret that I am always impatient and keep on changing my skincare products without learning on what my skin need the most. I feel like I keep watering dead plants and hoping for the fruits to come out. This is why knowledge is the most important even on the simplest action on earth. There’s always reasons and we should keep on learning - note to myself.

Literally me when I’m stuck between work, study and everything in between.
Setting up my new milestone and resetting goals that never been mine in the beginning. I used to go with the flow and end up nowhere. Last night, I had a chat with my friend and we can conclude that we both are in mid life crisis! Yes. It happened before but this time I realized that it was so frequent that I started to lost track of what I’m doing and I really not enjoying my work, my study and everything in between.
It is frustrating that I had this feeling after I got my advanced paper which I had struggled with it a year before. Now I felt like I shouldn’t have done it and wasting my one year just because I don’t have anything to do. It’s a waste that I never wanna be in this path but ended up trying to finish something that I never wanna start.
Aghh. I need a reset button for now.
First Injury
I don't expect when people say a ride is not that easy, they mean accidents can happen. I guess I was off guarded when it happened but it wasn't so bad and I could still walk home without fainted.
This accident taught me that once you are comfortable with what you are doing, don't take it lightly. Always be ready for anything that is possible to happen, either a good or bad news.
Amateur Ride 2020
The ride is bumpy,
May I have istiqamah on this journey.
Day 1 of countless day to a healthier me. Time to love myself and whatever I’m gonna do next. Nothing and no one to compare with.
Because Allah had put the best timing for me. And believe in Him. Always.
I’ll just skipped the line.
I pun pernah je follow this culture during first year kat sekolah ye la, when in Rome, do as the Romans do la kan. Tapi I tak marah kalau orang skip ye la aku pun tidur or sembang dalam bilik sementara nak tunggu orang keluar from shower room, so bukan salah orang yang cut the line la sebab dia datang and the room is empty.
Second year dah bijak sikit menklasifikasi mana yang patut, I queued bukan pakai botol etc ni. Kalau yang beratur tu botol, biar botol tu je la yang masuk.
Pernah jugak I kena marah masa dalam shower room sebab skipped the line and I’ll apologize and took less than 5 mins to finish. So far takde la kena pukul lagi sebab skipped the line.
My last trip for 2019
It was my first trip with my colleagues from the office after 4 years working with them. Even though we had a hectic schedule before this trip happened, alhamdulillah everything went well with our great tour guide. Of course we did some research before we go ie. scrolling down IG pictures of Lake Toba, history of the lake, halal food and shopping experience (a must).
The long journey to reach each point of interest was worthwhile and I could understand why people said Lake Toba is Asia’s Interlaken. The scenery is something that I won’t forget forever in my life and I had realized how Allah is Almighty creating such a beautiful place in this world for us to enjoy.
I wished that I could travel again after this pandemic is over, so I can cherish every moment of freedom that Allah has given to me InshaAllah. At least before I settle down for good.

What the government said vs what people think
The battle is real and that cool relationship seems too cold already.
And you can’t stop it from leaving
Misaeng Incomplete Life
Recently I watched another K-drama called Misaeng despite the nonstops works, classes and life dramas. The genre is a little bit different from the other genres that I used to watch.
The drama tells about the working environment in Korean multinational company through the eyes of a boy who is a graduate of GED (just like our SPM level) named Geu-Rae. Ironically geu-rae in Korean means yes so whenever his name being called, it sounds yes all the time. His appointment as permanent staff of One International was being questioned as most of the candidates are from prestigious universities.
But anyway, that’s not the key to what I am going to highlight in this post. I cried almost every episodes because I could relate the story to my previous experience.
My first job in the industry was an intern in a well known company. I was paid lower than many of my friends who chose to go for banking sectors. But the position never made me feel low because I promised to myself that I’m not there for money but for a career, to gain knowledge, to absorb whatever I can so I can be reliable. My supervisor, the guy who give me his trust on the first day we met, my ex-boss, Yap is similar to Mr. Oh Sang Shik in this drama. His character, the way he treats Geu-Rae is similar to how Yap treats me.
I was too far from understanding the accounting things in the beginning. During my second month, I had thought about getting transferred to Corporate Finance as that’s what I learned at the university. But he insisted to keep me under his supervision and literally shaped me to who I am today. His scolds and unpredictable mood made me feel tired sometimes but he always encouraged and praised me when he thought I deserve it.
Gradually I was given tasks to do full set of accounts for two companies. It might be nothing to some people as the accounts are quite standard but it was really meaningful to me. After a year, he allowed me to explore another company which a bit more challenging than the last two.
Unfortunately I left him after almost 2 years but I didn’t expect to get the job at the first place. It was a tough decision during that time. And still, he encouraged me and supported my decision to leave him. I really hope that he is doing well in whichever path that he choose.

Sempena bulan Ogos bulan Merdeka,
Ayuh kita kibarkan Jalur Gemilang.

Utusan Malaysia made their first publication in Roman on 1 September 1967 replacing Jawi’s to cater their Malaysian readers.
I must admit that in this digitalization era, I prefer to read conveniently from my phone or laptop while waiting to commute or have a breakfast. It would be bothersome to carry a physical newspaper everywhere like the old days and pay RM1.50 to RM2 everyday for a newspaper.
Today is supposed to be the last day of our very first newspaper, Utusan before we can celebrate their 52-years anniversary next month. I had a mixed feeling over the news when I first read about the ceased. My first thought was I wasn’t even there when Utusan Malaysia started its business in Kuala Lumpur after moved from Singapore. And Utusan is not my first preference.
But after doing a bit of research on the history of Utusan and the deeds done by Utusan during our Tanah Melayu days, I suddenly had a goosebumps. Imagine, for more than 50 years, Utusan played a big role in our economy and unity as Malaysian. The knowledge and updates on current issues that had been fed to all Malaysian for more than half a century is something that should be praised and recognized.
I hope Utusan Malaysia will continue its publication with more interactive features to attract readers especially the youth and stipulate reading habit. As Utusan had been seen as a sentimental value to all of us, I hope they will stick to their objective which is to improve our knowledge while enlightening a patriotic spirit in an effort to unite the people of Malaysia.
Good luck Utusan Malaysia and happy 52-years anniversary in advance.
Note: Sampai sekarang Globe Silk Store masih ada kat Jalan TAR dan setiap kali raya, tak sah kalau tak pegi Globe. My mom’s favourite shopping centre though sometimes I don’t see her buy anything. Just a ‘wajib’ place to visit during fasting month. 🤔
Independent Malaysian
In conjunction to Malaysia’s Independence Day that will be celebrated on 31 August 2019, let me bring you back to the time before we got our freedom and live peacefully without external interference.
We were administered by the British whom also brought in heavy immigrants from India and China to help in the industry of rubber plantations and tin mines. However, the calming days were messed up by the invasion of the Japanese and rebellion of the Communist who proclaimed themselves as the Malayan’s savior.
The delegation of ministers and political leaders led by Tunku Abdul Rahman, the Father of Independence who were also the prime minister together with Tun Dato Sri Tan Cheng Lock, the president of MCA and Tun VT Sambanthan, the president of MIC went to London to negotiate with the British and seek for Malayan’s independence.
The story that I heard is so beautiful that everyone in the country got together and support the team financially and spiritually.
Fast forward to where we are today, a lot of racism issues had became the talk of the town. We were being feed by the media, electronically and published. The viral phenomenon has taken place where everyone shares everything on their social media platforms which had caused unease to other Malaysian.
Personally, I see races as a group of beautiful cultures that can only be seen in our country. Where else can you find more than 3 races living in a country except for Malaysia? How can we protect this heritage inherited by our ancestors and show to the world that living with many races is beautiful?
Don’t start to judge a person through their colour of skins because it’s genetically given and unchanged. The only thing that need to be changed is our heart.
As someone who is still under youth age, I urge everyone to get together, put aside your skin’s colour, your mother’s tongue and anything that could differentiate us.
The only thing that could differ us is our religion and beliefs which I think is too personal to be shared because your faith (iman) is your belief, no one can change that even if you were surrounded by different belief. Islam emphasize that a belief cannot be forced and Allah will give guidance (hidayah) for the people that He wants.
