I’ve gotten used to tending to my garden as soon as I wake up, and then spending the rest of the morning foraging. I never even know what I’m going to bring home, and then usually spend additional time just processing whatever I get. First it was nettles, dandelion greens, dock, then I was bringing in strawberries, yarrow and acacia, and today I brought in a whole bunch of sour cherries and chamomile! I spent hours just picking out chamomile flowers from the plants, oh and I figured what leg hair was for! You know every time you bring in a big bunch of flowers from the fields, there’s gonna be bugs in there, and so while I was preparing the plants for the drying process, bugs were starting to crawl over me, but they couldn’t really get past my legs. Why? Because my leg hair made it really difficult to walk on my skin, if my legs were smooth it would have been an easy walk, but like this? My legs were protected from bugs. Bugs could not easily climb up my body. My leg hair is victorious.
