Triggers CAN make you angry.
Iâve seen a lot of posts saying what triggers do and do not do, and many times, Iâve seen it written that triggers do not make you angry, that theyâre more likely to cause strong anxiety, panic, numbness, etc.
But coming from someone whose triggers invoke a gut-wrenching fury: Triggers CAN make you angry. They can remind you of the unfairness, trauma, and hurt of the past, and a normal human reaction to things like that is anger.
Itâs not wrong for triggers to make you angry, and youâre not in the wrong for feeling it. Anger is an emotion that rarely gets addressed in relation to trauma, and I think that needs to change.
Your anger in response to triggers is valid.

New witch in town.
Alright witches, we just got a new alter who showed up in our system! Brynn is now here and does witchcraft too, so sheâll contribute to the blog as well. Brynn is actually my best friend from childhood, so I know her pretty well.Â
HOW IS THAT SO?? you ask?Â
See, I, Robin, have memories that the body doesnât have, meaning that⌠I remember things from inside rather than outside. So my life before an alter, essentially. Brynn is my friend from San Francisco with me and weâre both pretty close!Â
Brynn doesnât have her deck outside so wonât be doing readings yet. But, weâll both probably do them or something. Iâll let her do her own introduction and tell you what sheâs into. But sheâs pretty cool!
If you want, I can talk about memories more later. Or just ask me questions about it!Â
Ask box is always open!!Â
Light unto you all!Â

System Magic
Our Inner World:
So many DID/OSDD systems have an âinner worldâ where you go when you donât front. Not all systems have one since every system is different. Ours is not that elaborate, but the main part of the âHeadspaceâ is a grassy field with forests on either side. We do have a house, which is pretty nice, where we sit around.Â
There are other realms inside as well, where magic works a little differently. Only the Headspace really works well with the energy.Â
That being said not all of the system members (alters) practice magic, are witches, etc. So, I respect people and their own beliefs as I would outside.Â
Energy Magic:
Zelda practices quite a bit of Energy Magic inside. How does it work? Well see, our inner world seems to have quite a bit of energy around us that we can draw from. Since itâs inside, visualization is much easier inside since itâs not⌠outside. Itâs not a physical world for us, so itâs much easier to imagine energy around us.Â
So, barriers and wards youâre able to see them inside. Protection spells are more visual, just as you would see them on TV (not really though haha).Â
As a witch who is connected with the energy around us, we feel the energy inside quite well. That being said, it might not work the same way for other systems, it really depends.Â
Tarot:Â
It honestly works the same as it would outside. I get a little dramatic about drawing cards and sometimes the energy just moves the card and Iâm like âAlright, Iâll do it then.â That being said, I canât really say much about it since Iâm just getting back into it.Â
Back in San Francisco, it would be just like it would be outside. The cards donât move, you just go based on which one speaks to you, honestly.Â
Charms:Â
Zelda really likes using charms, Iâll have her talk more about it. Sheâs been a bit stressed so sheâs been mostly putting her energy into Energy Magic and keeping everyone safe inside.Â
It seems she made one charm to keep the House protected. I donât know thoughâŚÂ
If anyone has any questions about the system or magic in general, feel free to drop me an ask! Iâm happy to answer questions!

Cinderella was too weak to fight for herself...AND THATâS OKAY!
I cannot believe weâre still tearing Cinderella down! 2018 only has a few months left and weâre still doing this, weâre still painting her as the weakest Disney princess and weâre still painting her weakness as a bad thing?
Why?
Why are people so caught up on bashing this princess?
âThe movie is so simplisticââ
In what way is it possibly simplistic?!
âShe didnât work hardââ
YES, SHE DID!
âWell, okay, but the fairy godmother still had to come inââ
Yep, I remember the movie too, and the countless stories on which itâs based.
âSo the fairy godmother was the one who caused the happily ever after.â
She sure was, now, whatâs your point?
No, really, whatâs your point? Is the point that Cinderella is somehow weak because she wasnât 100% in control of her own life? Seems like a pretty disgusting opinion to have when the whole movie is about an abuse victim finding a way out of her horrible situation. So Cinderella wasnât the one who got herself out. So what? Instead of looking the movie at its bare surface, maybe try analyzing it with a bit more thought and tact. You might see something a little different. A magical transformation, if you will.
Because Cinderella did work hard.
And guess what we learned from that?
You can work
and work
and work
And there will still be people out there who will try to tear you apart:
Literally.
And that sucks. Itâs a horrible lesson to learn but it is something we will all face in our lifetimes. There will always be people who will try to tear us down, there will always be people who will try to rip us apart, until weâre in a low place:
Until it seems like thereâs no hopeâŚ
Until it seems like youâre too weak to get out on your ownâŚ
And maybe you are.
Maybe you are too weak to get out on your own. Maybe youâre not the strongest woman in the world. Maybe youâre not capable of screaming at the top of your lungs or brandishing a weapon or throwing a punch. Maybe youâre not able to get out of something on your own. Maybe you hit a low point and maybe you have no way out of it. Not alone. But thatâs just it.
Youâre not alone.
Even at your lowest point, someone will come help you.
You donât have to do it all alone.
Itâs okay to have a little help when you have nowhere else to turn.
Cinderella is the story about an abuse victim who is unable to get out of her toxic situation by herself and just when she begins to lose all hope, is able to get help from an unlikely source. Itâs the story about a girl who needs help getting to her happily ever after and thatâs okay.Â
Give us advocates:
They deserve their happily ever afters!
Give us warriors:
They deserve their happily ever afters!
Give us fighters:
They deserve their happily ever afters!
Give us girls who are not advocates, girls who are not warriors, girls who are not fighters, girls who still deserves their happily ever afters:
