“Yep, I’m a Zorua. But I’m asking for your name, not your species.” He rolls his eyes, giving the boy a smirk. “I don’t have a nickname, so I’m just Zorua. Now, are you going to say your name, or should I just call you Human or Nesthair?”

"Well then little dude, I'm gonna call you puffball and you can call me nesthair." Satisfied with himself, Altair laid on his side and rubbed behind the puffball's ears.

“Who are you calling puffball, nest hair?” The Zorua said with a small huff, meeting his gaze proudly. “And I asked first! Besides, I think it’s not hard to figure out what I’m called, is it?”

"Alright little dude I'll take a guess then. You're a Zorua? Well I'm a human. There, introductions are all done up to the crest here." He raised an eyebrow at the pokemon.

"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first you little puffball?" Altair sat down on the ground and leaned forward so he was eye to eye with the pokemon.

“No. What the hell do you think I need it for?” He shook his head, somewhat irritated. He had somewhat missed the company but he had certainly not missed the ‘humour’. He leant against the wall, looking forward and absent-mindedly scuffing his shoe against the gravel. 

"Well I just guessed evolution... So what else could you use it for..?" He propped his head up with his hand and let out a low humming noise as he thought. Suddenly his eyes lit up and he hopped off the wall, "Woah dude, are you gonna have it turned into an engagement ring?? So whose your special someone??"

Oh! Surfing is what they call it, right? That’s cool! And you said that you battled, too- so you’re a trainer, right? Where are you from? 

"I'm A-" He started to say, but cut himself off as he realized the joltik was talking to it's reflection. "His name's Altaire." He couldn't help but smile at the easily achieved amusement. It was a simple life, and that's the best kind.

He himself however remained stood in the same spot, his hands casually settling in his pockets as he watched the other hopping about. “You mean I have to put up with you for even longer? Great.” He smirked as he spoke, the obvious sarcasm oozing through every word. “Fine. Still after a Fire stone but that’s about it.”

Altair brushed off the sarcastic comment, and jumped straight to the second part. "Fire stone? What do you need THAT for? Trying to evolve from hot-headed to just plain hot?" He raised an eyebrow suggestively.

"Probably cause no one cares about their hair as much as me, fuzzy!" He pulled a pocket mirror that had a flip-out comb in it from his shorts and held it up so he could watch Georgie climb around in his hair.

He supposed that he should have seen that coming and although he didn’t really enjoy the action so much, he decided not to pull away. However the embrace did not last long and within a few seconds he had pulled away and was straightening himself out again. “Hmm yes. Perhaps you should make new friends then.”

"I'm workin' on it dude. But no one else I meet seems to spark that brolicious dynamic that we've got going on, so don't hold your breath for me to replace you!" He hopped up on a short wall and started swinging his feet. "What about you, how've you been man?"

"Woah fuzzy!" Altair watched as the joltik climbed up his leg, and as it got to the opening in his shorts, he picked it up and sat it in his hair to avoid any uncomfortable mishaps. "Man you can't just go climbing up people's legs like that!"

Altair stood back up, stretching his back, "Nah." He unzipped his jacket a bit to reveal a black and blue wet-suit under it. "I'm just pretty prone to ridin' the waves. Practically my favorite hobby aside from battling."

He gave the other a stern expression, stiffening slightly as he so usually did upon such a greeting. “That name. Stop it.” He was of course referring to the ‘Flippy’ remark. He did, however, extend a hand. That was as much affection as the other was going to receive for now. “Been well?”

Altair smiled as the hand was extended towards him. But instead of shaking it, he grabbed it and pulled his friend into a warm hug. "Just about as well as a guy can be without his friends around."

Okay! And I’ve never thought of things like that before, but it makes sense once you do think about it. That’s interesting!  [Lyra smiled at him] And I like your hair, Altair! It looks really fluffy. 

"I'm not trying to say everyone needs to think that way though. We're all different in our own bodacious ways, and that's what makes everyone who they are." With a smile he leaned over, so his hair was within her reach, "Yeah, it's great! I take a lot of care of it cause the saltwater dries it out."
