If six is afraid of seven because seven ate nine, and six used to be together with nine (69) but now is together with seven (67), does that imply seven's reason for eating nine was because seven is in fact a yandere cannibal that wanted six all to itself? And six is currently trapped in an abusive relationship with seven, too scared of being eaten to try to leave?

my general opinion on what people should be "allowed" to portray and what topics they should be "allowed" to explore in fiction is that you can make whatever art with whatever themes you want but i'm also allowed to think the way you handled it was tasteless and should've been done differently. my negative opinion on your handling of sensitive topics is the price of admission for publicly showcasing your work. this is not a pro-censorship stance because i am not The Government
So was no one going to tell me that they implied during the Hatchetfield Series Recap Livestream that Boy Jerry and Girl Jeri are siblings
??????? OH
The timestamp is 3:34:15 š Maybe they're not but idk where all that came from then š Kinda makes sense in hindsight too

Perhaps I haven't paid enough attention, but I haven't seen anything online or in the news about this, or rather, I've stopped seeing anything about Palestine, and that's unfortunate. Keep in mind that Israel considers the Palestinian government and many humanitarian and charitable organizations to be terrorist entities, which automatically labels us Palestinians as terrorists.
Legislation initiated by far-right Otzma Yehudit party drew mounting criticism from opponents and rights groups as it moved through the Knes
For the past few days, I haven't been able to access the internet because I've been busy securing supplies. Unfortunately, I've only been able to get the supplies and rebuild our tent, which was destroyed by the rain

In the middle of a Supernatural rewatch and I remembered the siren episode because of how much it gets brought up as proof of bisexual Dean but now that I actually have that episode fresh in my memory again I do think this is kind of a funny episode to choose as an example because if we go down that line of thinking I'd say it carries a whole different sort of implications
i am not a psychiatrist but i do find it really weird how autism checklists are so often focused on "outward" signs of autism rather than what is going on internally. i don't know how to explain it but "do you make eye contact with other people" feels like a much less relevant question than "how does it feel when you have to make eye contact with other people?"
while i'm here, the other one that always pisses me off is "do you interpret idioms literally, for example 'bull in a china shop'?"
well, no, obviously. i know what "bull in a china shop" means because that is a popular phrase with a clearly defined meaning. and if i hadn't heard it before, then i would still not interpret it literally, because it has the cadence of an idiom and i would probably be able to work out from context what it meant. what is the point of this question
third and final complaint: "are you good at noticing subtext?"
i feel like the problem with this question is best illustrated by a conversation i had with a friend a while back, where i said something like, "i feel very safe with you because you don't do subtle hints and you are always very straight-up with me about what you are thinking and feeling."
and he laid a hand on my shoulder and was like, look dude i'm gonna be straight up here. i am subtle with you constantly and you simply do not notice <3
@luckyybones hope you don't mind me screenshotting but you are actually so correct
I saw people talking about the scene in season 6 when Sam asks Castiel if he likes Dean more than him or something and he seems in disbelief when Cas essentially confirms it, while Dean too is taken aback and upset by the reply. And it is true that Cas liking Dean more seems obvious, after all he and Sam had a much rockier start and have less history together, did less things together than Cas and Dean at this point. But I also think it makes perfect sense that none of that occured to either Sam or Dean because before Cas, it was always Sam-and-Dean. As a unit. As hunters, they do everything together and they share everything. People in their hunting lives, (in their "true" lives) have relationship with Sam&Dean, not with Sam and with Dean. Ruby does not really count because she was manipulating Sam and trying to turn them against each other and replace Dean. But Cas is in their life, their hunting life, on their side, he's part of the team. And I think they are so enmeshed together it never occured to them that Castiel could have two separate relationships with each of them.
"Straszny staruszek"? xD

male gaze is not 'when person look sexy' or 'when misogynist make film'
death of the author is not 'miku wrote this'
I don't think you have to read either essay to grasp the basic concepts
death of the author means that once a work is complete, what the author believes it to mean is irrelevant to critical analysis of what's in the text. it means when analysing the meaning of a text you prioritise reader interpretation above author intention, and that an interpretation can hold valid meaning even if it's utterly unintentional on the part of the person who created the thing. it doesn't mean 'i can ignore that the person who made this is a bigot' - it may in fact often mean 'this piece of art holds a lot of bigoted meanings that the author probably wasn't intentionally trying to convey but did anyway, and it's worth addressing that on its own terms regardless of whether the author recognises it's there.' it's important to understand because most artists are not consciously and vocally aware of all the possible meanings of their art, and because art is communal and interpretive. and because what somebody thinks they mean, what you think somebody means, and what a text is saying to you are three entirely different things and it's important to be able to tell the difference.
male gaze is a cinematographic theory on how films construct subjectivity (ie who you identify with and who you look at). it argues that film language assumes that the watcher is a (cis straight white hegemonically normative) man, and treats men as relatable subjects and women as unknowable objects - men as people with interior lives and women as things to be looked at or interacted with but not related to. this includes sexual objectification and voyeurism, but it doesn't mean 'finding a lady sexy' or 'looking with a sexual lens', it means the ways in which visual languages strip women of interiority and encourage us to understand only men as relatable people. it's important to understand this because not all related gaze theories are sexual in nature and if you can't get a grip on male gaze beyond 'sexual imagery', you're really going to struggle with concepts of white or abled or cis subjectivities.
kinda want more content about how light didnāt choose the name ākiraā and also didnāt like it at first. eventually he adopted and identified with it but when people first started calling him that online he was like⦠i donāt like how theyāre calling me ākillerā. itās incongruous with his image of himself as a benevolent god making a beautiful new world. he gets RID of killers- he isnāt a killer, himself.
and then cut to telling raye penber ādonāt turn around, i am kiraā and taunting naomi misora with ābecause iām kiraā. flexing his wings, getting comfortable with the title because itās sticking around and if people worship that person, then yeah, thatās who he is.
