“Aspen?” She looked up at him raising an eyebrow, “I really like that name.” She said with a sweet smile, walking closer to the bed, her smiling turning wider as he said she was her’s as well, “Ours? Really?” She said a little surprised as she took a seat next to them and pet Aspen, feeling her soft fur run through her fingers. Lauren was surprised about how well she listened and did what Michael told her “Potty trained and well behaved. You couldn’t have gotten a better puppy, Mike.” She grinned as Aspen licked her cheek.
Michael nodded, hearing Lauren repeat the dog's name. He shrugged once more, smiling a little, "I figured it was fitting, since Aspen's where we've started to put our relationship back together," he told her. Watching her smile widen, he nodded again, "Yes, ours, really." He watched her interact with the dog, smiling softly, knowing that he made a good decision in getting Aspen. "I'm glad that you like her," he said, laughing lightly as Aspen licked her cheek.
