Boston took the joint as it was passed to him, taking a small hit off of it before speaking. “Sharing is caring; a friend with weed is a friend indeed.” he said with a laugh, taking a longer hit this time as he held it for a moment before slowly releasing the smoke. “I agree with that fully. Plus, I think his class is the only class you can sleep in without getting a write up to detention.” he said, holding the joint back out to Kenna with a grin.

The brunette laughed like a dork and nodded, “That rhymed.” She said, the weed obviously taking over her at this point. “Dude I love when his class is on first or second period ‘cause I can get my nap. Now that I think about it his class ain’t that shitty.” She admitted and took the joint back, taking a small hit.

“Yes I like like him. They’re not shitty anymore, so that’s good. If I keep it up I’ll be fine.”

“How cute. Have you told him yet? That’s good, babe.”

Dustin nodded and looked at the other “I have people telling me that I’m emotionally unstable to be with Carter, and that he needs to be with someone who is emotionally stable, I can’t help it that I care for him, and that I tend to get jealous… I didn’t know being human was so bad” he looked at the other. 

“Fuck that people. Only he knows what’s the best for him and he chose you, so screw whoever thinks differently.” Kenna spoke firmly.

“Yes Evan! Nothing really, he helps me study, he keeps me on track, and I really really like him. It really is, but a girl like me who has terrible grades needs to study to pass this year.”

“Like like him?” She asked curiously. “I don’t have the shittiest grades, but they’re not great either, I think I’ll do fine for the rest of the year.”

“Same, I’ve been hanging out with Evan a lot lately and also been studying. “

“Evan? What have you too been up to? Oh studying is a bitch, I don’t do it much anymore.”

Dustin looked up at his best friend and bit his lip “She made me feel like I’m a shitty husband, and that I meant to cheat on Carter, I didn’t the guy took advantage of me, I was drunk, my friend took off” he looked down again “I love Carter with every fiber in me, he’s my world, that smile lights me up everytime, I would never actually cheat on him” he looked at her. 

“You are not a shitty husband, Dus. What happened was not your fault, that guy pretty much just took advantage of you, he’s the one to blame, not you. I know all that, she obviously didn’t think before she spoke and she might’ve not even know the trust, so her words should mean shit to you.” She said before tugging on her lower lip and nodding, “I know you do and that you would never. Kaya is wrong with what she said. Please don’t let her or anyone else affect you.”

Dustin hugged his friend back and his lip looking at her “All the words Kaya was saying hurt me, like hurt me a lot, but the rumors going around here about me just hurt even more” he looked down. 

“Dus you need to ignore all the negativity and stupid gossip. It’s not worth worrying about, even less getting upset over it.” She said grabbing his chin and pulling his head up, “I hate seeing you like this, Dus.”

“One of them.” She replied with a smile as she grabbed the popsicle.

Doors open, come in K. 

The brunette walked inside the room carefully closing the door behind her and instantly walking to give her friend a big hug, “What’s wrong, Dus?” She asked with concern.
