was that [ RUDY PANKOW ] spotted in the lobby of the infamous arconia hotel? must just be, [ KAI BRENNER ] the [ TWENTY-FOUR ] year old [ BARTENDER/LIFE GUARD ]. whenever i hear [ GUESS I’M JADED BY MOONTOWER ] it reminds me of them. they are known for being [ IMPULSIVE ] and [ STUBBORN ] but they make up for that by being [ CHARMING ] and [ EASY GOING ]. they have been working at the arconia for [ ONE YEAR ] while they are visiting the big apple. we hope they enjoy their stay.

“yeah, one day when i decided to slow everything down, ill move out there but for now its a good vacation home” noa said smiling at the other. “yeah it is” she added. “yeah i’ll have to see what we can work out, and how we can make it happen for everyone” she said smiling at the other as she took a sip of her drink. “yeah me too. fingers crossed it all gets sorted out soon” noa said looking kai. “oh great. not too much longer than. ill make a quick call to make us a reservation and we will be all set for the time you have finished” noa said smiling, before pulling out her phone and making a quick call to book them a table. “all booked and sorted for us. i told them we would be able an hour or so maybe soon” she said looking at him. “just incase we get caught up or something” she said smiling. noa wasn’t sure if he got off right when he needed to if it got busy and if and where he needed to change. 

A small smile spread across Reigns face as the boy moved to sit beside her. “My savior.” Boredom was not uncommon for Reign. She had just finished up a major shoot a few days ago so she had a bit of a break and was struggling on how to fill her time. “Is it just me or has things been a bit dull around here… like things are slowing down”

he chuckles lightly before licking his lips. “mhm, that’s me. here to save all bored people.” kai laughs as he took a sip of his drink. looking over towards the female, he inhales slightly, following along with a nod of his head. “yeah, it has been.. basically been the same o’ thing every single day.. it’s just feels like everyone needs a pick me up these days.” 

with a slight shake of her head she brings her cup up to her lips pausing for a moment, “well then here’s to a fun night.” she laughs before resuming her actions and finishes off her drink too quickly? probably but she wasn’t thinking of that in this moment. setting the cup down she laughs lightly, “look at it this way, you’ll have all the girls fawning of you.” she scrunched up her nose now looking over at the male her head tilting just a bit. she thinks for a moment before nodding, “i’ll get right one that when we get back. i’ll make sure i make a note of penciling this in for the occasional night out.” as she speaks her eyes dance around the bar stopping on the people out in front of them to the bartenders behind the bar and she nods absentmindedly dropping the subject of her allergy because he seemed to understand. her eyes trail back over to him nodding her head with his words, “that is something i can get behind.”

Reign sat at the bar and sipped her drink as she very obviously over listened to the conversation going on a few sats down. Some older man was running his mouth about something stupid that he really had knowledge on. She heard someone take the seat next to her and she shifted in her seat. “Thank god” She said as she placed her cup down. “I’m in dire need of someone to cure my boredom.” 

kai had just finished his shift at the bar and really needed a drink himself. he fixed himself a drink before plopping next to the female who look bored as hell. a chuckle fell from his lips as she slide a drink her direction. “well, lucky for you you have another drink lined up for you, but it looks like you’re about to die from boredom.”

the girl looked at the other when he asked the valid question. people asked her that all the time. “i mean i could but im in the city everyday all day anyway so It would just mean a lot of time travelling to and from you know. at the moment it just makes sense for me to live in the city” noa said looking at the other with a small smile. “i will have to look at the schedule and see when we can leave the city again and i shall plan a party” the girl said. “it would indeed. fingers crossed we get the all clear to leave soon enough” she added and smile when she watched as the other nodded at her suggestion. “sounds like a plan. ill call now to get us a table. what time do you finish again. sorry” 

she snort shaking her head a bit at his words, “oh my god. you really didn’t just say that.” she smiled before she brought her cup up to her lips taking a sip eyes roaming around the bar but felt relaxed in the moment. she waved her free hand nonchalantly before placing her glass back down her eyes finding him again, “you have nothing to worry about, it’ll be fine. plus we’re having fun and everyone at the hotel pretty much knows i make friends with almost everyone there.” she laughs lightly with a nod, because it was true. she usually did make friends with everyone she came into contact with well almost everyone now. “mysterious fun? gonna lead me to the wild side for the night or should i start penciling this in?” she joked her nose then scrunching a bit at his next words, “so let’s stay away from the strawberries.” she chuckled before lifting the glass her eyes wondering away from kai now once again taking in everything around her as she slowly finished her drink, “rough shift?”  she asked though kept her eyes still roaming

noa smiled at the other, “yeah. its one of my favourites and if i could live there full time honestly i would” she said looking at kai. “yeah exactly, im sure everyone would be down for it. maybe i need to look into it” noa said smiling. she would love to host a little weekend getaway with everyone considering everything that has been going on. it would be the break they all deserved. “i mean the whole weekend would be a mood” she said giggling at the face he had made. “thank you. look we have one another” noa said smiling. “i do know that but i just wanted to ask incase you were feeling like something specific. but if you want me to pick. why don’t we go to the rooftop restaurant where they have a mix of everything” the girl said. “that way we can have a little taste of everything”

Casey looked at Kai and smiled. Honestly, Kai meant the world not only to Tate, but also to Casey – they trusted one another. There were things that Kai knew about Casey, that not everyone knew, and he also knew that Kai had told him stuff about his past, that he hadn’t told many people. If anyone, Casey trusted Kai with his life. With Tate. If anything were to happen to Casey, then he knew that Tate would be safe with Kai, who would treat her right. Casey rolled his eyes at the Beyonce comment and he chuckled. “ How can I fight you when you bring in Queen B in all of this, huh? That’s just impossible. ”

“ You will always be one of Tate’s favorite uncles. Trust me. You’re great with her and I love watching you two. That’s why, you know, why I believe you’re going to be a great Dad some day. ” He looked down at the shirt he was wearing and then started to laugh. “ Ha! I have started looking like a Dad, haven’t I? ” Shaking his head, Casey looked at Kai and rubbed his lips together; looking at his best friend who began to wipe down the counter, probably just pretending to do something in case a manager came around. “ I don’t think convincing Tate is going to be difficult, but how about you stop by tonight? We’re having Tacos, and you know, we can talk to her then? ” 

their friendship was like no other, he was honestly the first friend that he had where he can fully trust the other. it was a nice feeling and he didn’t feel like that for the longest time -- well until he met casey. kai couldn’t help, but laugh at him comment even more. “you can’t argue with me because i’m right. you’re replaceable, babe. hate to tell it to you.” he shakes his head, although it was clearly a joke. casey was not replaceable, he was the bestest friend anyone could have. 

“i sure hope so, i’ll be offended if i’m not in the top, especially with how much time i spend with her,” he mentions, knowing that if he wasn’t at work or his own apartment, he would be over at casey’s apartment hanging out with the two of them. “well, thanks, i guess.” kai states awkwardly, while letting out a small breath. “you totally give off dad vibes, the sleepless look also gives it away.” he informs him with a small chuckle. “count me in! i’m always down for tacos.” 

Of course Jade knew that there were things that Kai wouldn’t want to tell her, and maybe never, and she also had stuff she didn’t necessarily want to talk about. At least not right now. Hopefully though, they would be able to make it happen one day; that one day they would get to open up to someone. Whether that be each other or not, because both of them deserve to be happy. Maybe, they both needed to dare to trust someone with the stuff they had gone through, to be happy? And maybe, just maybe, that would be Kai for her. She laughed and rolled her eyes, though smiling towards Kai who teased her and sent her a wink. The wink quickly turned into a soft smile afterwards, which made her smile back at him. “ Well, I guess you’re kind of a charmer… ”

Jade looked at Kai, shrugging her shoulders playfully. Looking at the male, she felt her heart skip a beat and she blinked furiously, before turning her head away and looking somewhere else for a few seconds as she tried to calm herself down. “ Maybe. Depends, if you stick around or not, ” Jade replied. She nodded and looked at him when he said he could wait for her. “ Okay, cool. I… I’ll see if I can get off early though, so we can get going. ” Looking at him, she took in everything about his face - the way his nose was made and the way his chin was strong.

he definitely did want to get to know the girl more, maybe learn about those secrets that she had mentioned that she had. she was just so interesting to him and he doesn’t even know all too much about her and she doesn’t know too much about him, which he was fine with. he didn’t feel the need to tell her his sob story. one day, he hopes that he would have the guts to tell her everything and he hopes that she doesn’t look at him different. at the sound of her laughter, a bright smile appears across his lips as he nods his head. “oh, yeah, baby. number one charmer here.” 

“well, i definitely plan on sticking around for a bit. doesn’t hurt to get to know you more,” he says with a small smile. kai nodded his head, “alright, i’ll be here even if you still have to work the full two hours. girl, go make your coins, i don’t mind.” he playfully teases her, laughing slightly as he turns to face her. 

the blonde laughed lightly shaking her head at his words before lifting a hand up in defense, “okay okay we’re young and living through the night, we’re gonna have a blast i’m putting a lot of faith in this.” she says bringing her cup up again to take a sip and she snorts only a bit before lifting up her shoulder in a slightly shrug, “oh you should have thought of that before asking moi out.” she joked because she didn’t truly see herself as someone super famous but after her very public relationship and then very public divorce and her singing career she knew there was a small possibility, “but dont you worry, i’m sure no one will tip off anyone that nova reign is out and about no one believes i go out.” she shook her head. for the second time she scrunched up her nose at the thought of having an epipen, “oh no see i can’t do that. i can easily get tattoos or like a piercing but that kind of thing no cannot handle it.” she shakes her head, “i wish to be that daring but just the thought of having to jab myself with that it’s just a giant no.” she chuckled before bringing her cup up to lightly hit his before she brings it back to her lips taking a larger sip, “i’m trusting you, but let’s get drunk.”

noa looked at the other and watching as he responded to her telling him she had a house in the hamptons. she wasn’t bragging but she just wanted to let him know that he wouldn’t have to pay for anything. “ye-yes i do. I bought it i think two summers ago. i was also going out there and this beautiful home came up for sale and i couldn’t not buy it” she said with a small smile remembering how exciting it was. “oh my gosh. stop it. not at all. we could make it as a little vacation for all of us. we could see if anyone else wanted to come. im sure it would be a lot of fun and a deserved break for all of us” the girl said looking at kai as he started making her, her drink. “it truly is. always here okay” noa said smiling. “whenever you need someone. just give me a call. happy to help” the girl said. “of course. i think we all need to get out of here lately. its just so overwhelming. what do you feel like to eat?”

her nose nearly scrunches up a bit at his words because even though she truly saw herself as a young soul still she was slightly reminded of her age, “i’m nearly thirty but you’re right i’m still young. i can go out have fun live my life who needs boys trying to tie me down right now?” she asks raising a brow before a light laugh passed through her lips, “out of sight out of mind.” she repeated and then stood a little straighter, “maybe a little classy paparazzi are out of sight but i’m sure if fully wild us goes to far i’ll be on a like down.” she joked before reaching for the drink that was placed in front of her nodding. she took a sip of her drink a sigh leaving her at the slight burn of the drink in her throat, “oh trust me i know. its how we figured out i was allergic. all i wanted was this yummy looking strawberry and creme desert once tried it and had the worst reaction. swear it was the only time i remember my parents caring.” she said shaking her head taking another sip, longer this time. “oh i do i’m just saying, some people may just see you as trying to get poor innocent novalee drunk.” she joked, “but don’t worry full consent right now please make sure we need someone to pick us up?”

noa looked at the other with a smile, “you wouldn’t have to pay for anything. I have a house there. but if its too fancy then that’s okay” she said. when she said hamptons it was because she knew it was a place that she could escape to when she was feeling down or overwhelmed. “thank you, i appreciate it. its good to have people around you that you can rely on” she said “your welcome” the girl said as she sat at the bar. the they some savoury mix with nuts and other little snacks on the bar so she found herself snacking on them while she waited for her cocktail “well did you wanna get something to eat afterwards? we could go somewhere away from the hotel?” noa said

“Have I ever told you that you’re exactly what I think of when I think of someone from California?” He teased the bartender, fake judgment in his voice. Dakota felt that he had been around the world enough times to notice when people had layers. It was why he liked sitting at the bar here—well, that and the alcohol. He would much rather sit and ask Kai questions than get drunk to just talk about himself. He loved learning about people and what they were passionate about or simply what made them happy. Becoming an artist who actually sold paintings and didn’t just get to hide out in his room anymore made him realize just how much he disliked explaining his thought process. It was way more fun studying others. Dakota looked down at his glass, noting the fact it was practically empty and let out a childish groan. “Did I tell you to cut me off after this last one?” He looked over at Kai sheepishly. He knew he probably had but that phrase was good for nothing between them by this point. 

kai actually enjoyed bartending. he got to learn lots about people -- more specifically what type of drunk they are. “oh, really? how so? do i get off surfer vibes?” kai inquires the other, teasing him slightly wondering what his exact thoughts were or at least understand the drunken thoughts that he was currently producing. he wipes down the counter besides kota and licks his lips, leaning against the counter. thankfully, it was a slow night. no one really around, so he was able to just chill and talk to people and learn more about them. “pretty sure you did, why did you want another one?” he chuckles. 

“ Oh, we are definitely the greatest besties out there, ” Casey replied and chuckled softly, looking at his best friend; the grin on his lips widened. They had been friends prior to New York, and honestly, Casey was so happy that they had been reunited again. It was nice to have people he could trust around him, especially with Tate now being in his life as well. And, if there was anyone he trusted, it was definitely Kai. His mouth fell open and a gasp followed, “ did you just call me annoying? And say you could replace me easily? Ahhh, tsk tsk, I don’t think you could, boy, ” he said and chuckled softly, shaking his head in disbelief, although he knew Kai was messing about. Casey knew that Kai was just teasing him and he would easily do it back. Narrowing his eyes, Casey noticed the way that what he had said, had made Kai a little uncomfortable-looking, which made him wonder if he had said anything wrong.

He narrowed his eyes a little, looking at Kai who said he didn’t think he would be a good Dad. Casey still thought he would be a great Dad, especially after he had seen him with Tate and how good their relationship was. “ Well, Tate definitely think you’re a cool uncle, that’s for sure, ” he replied and chuckled softly as he took another sip of the Red Bull that he had been given of Kai earlier. Tate adored Kai. It definitely made him feel a little bit better too, filling up his tired body with some extra energy. “ Right? That’s absolutely ridiculous. I mean, I have had shifts where I’ve pretty much worked all night and then I have to get back in at seven AM? Honestly, I don’t think that’s actually allowed? ” He shook his head and looked at Kai after his suggestion about them moving in together. “ I mean, why not? ” he said and shrugged his shoulders. “ We’ll save cash and it’ll be easier to actually pay rent and whatnot, ” he spoke and smiled when Kai said he thought it sounded like fun times. He rolled his eyes and laughed. “ Well, I’m pretty sure she’ll agree to having you there, but what do you say? You wanna become roommates, dude? ”  

“i couldn’t agree more.” kai states with the brightest smile on his face. casey was the greatest friend that kai could ever have. there were things he knew about kai that no one else had and he trusted him with his entire life. it was good to be around someone familiar, someone from his past life that he actually wanted in his current life. at his dramatic statement, the blonde couldn’t help, but roll his eyes, following along with a nod of his head. “exactly, as beyonce once said, i could have another you in a minute.” he says with the goofiest smile plastered across his lips. 

“and i will forever remain to be the coolest uncle. i don’t give off dad vibes, you totally do though.. like in your little o’ button up shirts -- total dad vibes.” kai points out giving him a knowing look. kai never really thought about having kids -- matter in fact, he hated them. that was until tate popped up into casey’s life and he started being around her more. he grown fond of her -- strictly only her though, if it were any other kid he’d probably live to argue with them all day long. “the shittiest thing ever! but hey, we gotta do what e gotta do to make a living.” kai shrugs as he continues to wipe down the counter, pretending like he was engaging in some sort of work, just in case a manager rolls around the corner. he was taken a back a bit, however, a wide grin appears across his lips. he nods his head, “yeah, man. i’d love nothing more than to be roomies.. well that is if tate would have me.” 

Jade tilted her head to the side and looked at Kai; nibbling on her bottom lip as she wondered what was going through the male’s head right there. She hoped that whatever it was, and if there was something he needed to talk about, that he would talk to her if he needed to. Hopefully, they both could one day talk about their scars and their traumas – maybe one day they could heal from it, with help from each other. A soft smile on Jade’s lips appeared, and she nodded, looking at the male who said that he didn’t know what made her decide to move to New York, but how he was glad she did and that they had met. “ I’m really glad we met too. ” She meant that one hundred percent. She was happy that she had met him. From the expression on Kai’s face, she realized that they didn’t really know a lot about each other, except for the basics. 

“ Maybe, ” Jade spoke, “ Maybe I’ll spill all my secrets to you. Who knows, if I feel comfortable enough, I might let you in and tell you all my secrets, ” she added and wiggled her eyebrows, before a laugh followed. She felt comfortable around him already, so Jade knew that she could easily open up to him more and more as they were getting to know each other better. She moved her head and looked at the watch around her wrist, humming softly. “ I have another two hours? What about you? If you’re off the clock already, do you mind waiting for me? ”

there were lots of things that kai did not share with people. he didn’t share for multiple reasons, those being that he didn’t trust people, he didn’t want to put his problems on people, as well as him not wanting people to pity the life that he had before he came to new york. although, he felt that everyone has gone through their own things, he just didn’t feel the need to share. although, he did want to get to know jade, maybe even discuss what had happened to him in the past and heal from it. “oh, are you now? i heard that i’m quite the charmer.” he teased the female, sending her a wink, however, there was a soft smile afterwards. he really was glad to meet the other, something about her was different. 

“all your secrets, huh? that’s pretty special of me, you really think that i’m that person?” he inquires curiously, the topic sparking an interest in him. he did want to know her more, get to know her secrets. why she is the way that she is. it was no question that the two of them were comfortable with one another. humming lightly, he nods his head. “mm, i’m already off, but ya. i can definitely wait for you. i don’t mind. i’ll just be chilling here taking all of new york in.”
