My friend Wormmie sent me these 'imagines'. This is his first work to be shared with the public, and I have his explicit permission to post it here. Hope you like it!
Many people are, unfortunately, allergic to vampire bites. When this happens to a vampire-human couple, it can be challenging to balance the need to feed on their human with the uncomfortable reaction it creates. Different vampires tend to handle this in different ways.
Vampire who has forgotten what it is to be human:
“Why can’t I bite you? You dare to reject my gift? Is this how you feel about me? The swelling of your skin reveals the truth! I see how you really feel about me! I’m an irritant. I’m a parasite. I drain your blood and your soul!”
”Are you sure? Why else would you send your ‘anti-bodies’ to war against the touch of my fangs? You must loathe my very essence, to turn feverish and itchy at such great cost to you, merely to burn me out!”
”It is hard to believe it is yet another involuntary human thing. Another process you claim to have zero control over. Why would human bodies be so disobedient to the persons housed within?”
Vampire who wants to take care of their pet:
“Hi lovely! It’s time for feeding. Don’t worry, I remember it’s extra ouchy for you. I already have the ice pack and the lotion. No, don’t squirm. I’ll have to put the restraints on you again and then we’ll both be sad.”
“There, it’s over now. Let me clean you up, you have blood dripping down to your chest. Keep the ice pack there until your hands get cold, and then I’ll hold it for you. It’s not too bad this time, is it?”
“There we go, you can barely see the welts. Maybe I can even feed on you again today. Tsk, you’re squirming again…”
Vampire who likes that their human is allergic:
“Hey precious, I’m thirsty again. Give me your arm. Yes, now. Are you healed up from last time? Aha, I see you’ve been scratching a lot. It must feel terrible. Scratch for me, love. Claw at it. Suffer for me. I’m about to make it so much worse.”
“It’s already turning red. You really have such a strong reaction to me so quickly. As you should, Clearly, your pathetic skin can not handle my presence.”
“You still choose to stay? Your perseverance is to be respected. Perhaps one day, snack, I might be able to greet you as an equal. Not today. I enjoy testing how far it goes.”
Vampire who is still used to sneaking around:
“Huh? No, I have no idea why you woke up with your shirt off. Are those bug bites? Oh you poor thing, what did that to you!? It must have been a huge mosquito!”
“NO it was not me! Do those bites look like vampire bites to you! Vampire bites don’t ever swell up like that. I’m not barbaric enough to bite you in your sleep. Lucky for you, I just happen to have some medication and a clean shirt on hand. I mean a shirt, an ordinary shirt. I cleaned it though. No, it’s a different shirt than the one you slept in. Completely different. I… I don’t know why it looks the same. Yes, I am just very prepared, I’m glad you understand.”
“What do you mean, ‘next time do it when you’re awake’? Wouldn’t you rather be asleep until the swelling goes down? Oh, I see. I suppose we won’t have more trouble with mosquitos then…”
