A familiar curve weighed upon poppy lips. The scout fairy regarded her companion with a cant of her head. Her oath was to protect, for the good of all that was Pixie Hollow. And yet, she did question at times if her own suspicions were gauged upon feeble beliefs.
❛ I can’t honestly say bear cubs are exactly subtle in their nature, Fawn. ❜ The scout fairy lamented, recalling the gargantuan paw-prints that revealed the whereabouts of Fawn and Tinkerbell’s most recent companion. ❛ I would happily take my business elsewhere, if it didn’t constantly revolve around your own questionable behavior. ❜
Damn, she caught on to what she was hinting at. Stretching her arms out in front of her the fairy cracked her knuckles. “Uh, well, subtly isn't… my strong suit either, Nyx…” Fawn let out a girly giggle whilst hovering a little. She hovered, mostly, so she could quickly dive away from Nyx if she tried to grab hold of her. “… so we're well suited, don't you think?”
Fawn leaned her head back and looked up at the sky. It seemed nice – the light fairies would be going up there soon enough to grab some lights for rainbows and that gave Fawn a smart idea. If Nyx was going to tell her off, or try and follow her, she could swerve around the light fairies to hide from Nyx and maybe even… evade her. “Well – if youuu pretend you don't know about this… then no one has to! I'll have the cubs outta the Hollow before you know it!” “Last time, Nyx, promiseeee,” Another empty promise AND they both knew it, but what could Fawn say? She needed to help her animals – dangerous or not. She knew the bear cubs had enjoyed getting out of their hiding hole to venture around and annoy them… and Rosetta didn't enjoy the idea of being near bear snot with one of the cubs having a cold… but still!
