Let’s do this backwards…. Imagine if I said I want to make my dog REALLY aggressive? Where would I start? Well I’d make sure he has plenty of highly stressful interactions where he believes he’s in danger. I’d force him to remain in this situation as long as possible. The stress will eventually turn into aggression. If your dog is so stressed by the vet/ groomer he’s accidentally toileting he is becoming traumatised by people. If your dog is lunging/ running away when dogs approach he being traumatised by dogs. He is practicing feeling traumatised, behaving in a stressful way and learning this is the only way to behave. Mollie the #cockadorpuppy was becoming extremely nippy! She was becoming very argumentative when her owners put her in the crate as a time out so we worked around this by using the lead instead. You can’t imagine the amount of #barking this #pomeranian x was up to…. Barking at guests, at his owners, when they leave, getting out the front door and the entire time leaving the apartment block!! I was actually shocked he was so noisy for such a young dog!
