Dr. Ellsworth’s Fertilizer and Soil Amendments class (CRPSCI-36) started today! Students are measuring pH levels of different compounds!

Students Jose, Adrian, and Kelsy from CRPSCI-6 took soil samples at the farm during class last weekend! This lab also helped them get more familiar with the GPS units!

Ag Scholar Austin Lopez is planting oat hay today with the help of our Farm Technician JR Velazquez!

Terry Brase's Application of GPS Tech in Ag class (CRPSCI-6) is in full swing! Students learned how to read topographic maps and use the GPS units to plot points last week. The class will take a field trip tomorrow to Bowles Farming to see just how technology is being incorportated into agriculture!

We’ve got Ag Scholar Taylor Ramos out on the farm today using a GPS to mark all the risers in the field! She’ll then use the data collected to make a map in ArcGIS!
