i slipped and fell and made a new account again

the new year isn’t for another two hours but i just wanna make a quick lil update post that you don’t have to look at!

this time last year was like the darkest time in my adult life and i’m happy to say that i’m out of the woods. i had to make a lot of hard choices and face a lot of fears and lose people in order to be here right now, and while i regret things and miss people... i’m okay with the things that i can’t take back. i can live with it.

last year i spent new year’s eve crying inconsolably and questioning the most important things about myself. this year i’m not sad. i have friends, i know who i am (as much as you can in your twenties), and i have... some kind of goal. it’s a nice change.

time is fake and tonight is just going to be another night, but i kind of like the idea of a fresh start. maybe it’s because i’m making my year in review mix. i’ve always been able to think a little clearer through music.

i’m also going to be switching blogs. some of you have followed me from starkurtrps to brittanawrites to here and are probably rolling your eyes. that’s fair. you can say that i like fresh starts too much. especially after everything that’s gone down lately... i think i need the change. i’ll be back later to post the link if you’d like to follow.

oh - and i’m closing out 2015 with a word count of 260,067 words. not too bad.

hey! i stuck this in at the end of my queue but i’ll probably be going on a well deserved full hiatus until the end of the year. have fun without me!!!
