About a year ago I walked into a furniture store in @yorkdalestyle. This store was fabulous and I was taken by the aroma. At first glance I thought what kind of contraption was this, lighting fire, putting in a wick, etc. Had a vague memory of lighting those old school “Home sweet home” kerosene lamps. All I knew was I wanted that contraption and scent. Some time after I had gone back to the mall and the store had permanently closed. I was slightly heart broken. The name of the store was still up so I snapped a picture. Out of sight out of mind...time passed. I recently got married. Before my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I moved in I have lots of candles. One he brought me back from a work trip to Anguilla, another a friend brought from Jamaica, a couple from The Body Shop, Pier One and other places. Suddenly he got use to the life of scented candles, especially the aroma therapy and stress relief. He often jokes that the bench in the hallway where he sits to put on his shoes is such a useful and practical piece that he can’t “go backward” in life and that goes for candles too. My candles dwindled away and there was almost none left. Air fresheners are in every room, but there’s nothing like a good aroma therapy candle to sooth and unwind after a long day. A glass of wine doesn’t hurt either. I decided since I didn’t have much candles left I’d finally try the contraption the lady tried explaining to me. Going through my phone to find the photo with the name of the store was like finding a needle in a haystack, but atlas I found it and it is called @kimberlycaponedesigns. Checked their website to see if there was a physical store and phone number. They are located at Bass Pro Mills in Vaughn. Did a bit of research and found out the name of the contraption is called Lampe Berger Paris and the scent I loved so much is Ocean Breeze. There are lots of other scents sold online and in other stores, so it isn’t limited to one scent or limited to Kimberly’s store. Today I picked up my little Lampe Berger kit and I had my place smelling like ocean breeze... a little paradise...
