The Lamb and The Tyger

My heart honestly hurts for those that are asking for help and I see people respond with: depression isn't a thing. It's a condition, an actual medical condition. A person can have the "happiest" life in the world (whatever society says is a happy life), and still suffer from this thing tearing at them from the inside. Is suicide the answer? No. Never. Does it seem like the solution? In the moment, yeah. But let me tell you now, life is truly truly truly a beautiful thing. Think about it, just the simplicity of being present in this world. The air you breathe. The warmth of the sun you feel. Your favorite smells. The laughter of others around you. It's beautiful. Life is beautiful. Now as someone who suffers from depression, some days are harder than others. A lot harder than others. Sometimes it never seems worth it. But I always try to remember these simple beautiful things around me. Alone? Okay. Favorite candle burned out? Fine. It's dark outside? Alright. Breathe. You can breathe. That within itself is enough reason to live. You are an amazing, incredible, complex, and astonishing creature called a human... and you can breathe. You're supposed to be here, so don't give up. Don't give up.
