As she waited for the next tour to start, she looked around the main hall and scoffed slightly before leaning towards an innocent bystander. "What exactly is this place? And I don't mean the aquarium. How does a place like this even have an aquarium? What sort of sense does that make?"

“Someone trying to avoid the scene he just got. Actually… I’d call it more of a Broadway musical, with her pipes.” Mira wondered how people did it, balance relationships when their lives were on such a delicate line with tensions between supernaturals and humans. She had to guess it was easy to forget that it was a problem when they were hidden away in Eden’s Cove. She couldn’t forget though, and refused to, spending her nights trying to take down as much as she could from her computer. 

“I think he’s human from the size of that hand print forming on the side of his face,” she said, wondering what kind of human he could be. She found herself wondering about people a lot lately. Nosy and just curious by nature had her observing and picking apart all the time.

"Seems kind of dumb to me with everything that's happened in the last few years, this would be the things people focus on." Alani took in the scene as it came to an end - the man's bright red cheek, the woman's turn on her heel as she stormed out. Between losing the pieces of her family that she had and re-finding her cousin, there hadn't been much time for more than a night spent here or there with somebody random for the chance to use their bed and their shower.

"Where the hell is she?" She checked the time on her phone again, once again sending a text to Gabby inquiring as to what was talking her so long before looking back at the woman. "I don't think she would have gotten that slap in if he were anything else."

Mira was used to people not noticing her when she wanted to stay under the radar. She didn’t present as a threat being a human they’d all known had been born and raised in Eden’s Cove, so when arguments broke out, she had a great view, her nosy nature making it hard to ignore the raised voices. A woman was being dumped and she wasn’t all happy that her boyfriend had chosen the busy gaming cafe to do it. She slapped him and Mira couldn’t help the small “ohhh” that escaped her. 

Looking at the person closest to her she raised an eyebrow. “Shouldn’t he have known that a public setting wouldn’t stop her from making a scene? Guess he’s better off since he obviously didn’t know her.”

Alani was suppose to be meeting Gabby at the gaming cafe for the coffee more than a game. There wasn't time for playing when things needed to be figured out in regards to bigger picture situations. They were each all the other had and this move to another safe haven was all brand new to the girl. But Gabby was running late and she found herself nursing a cup of lukewarm coffee as some stupid guy broke up with his girlfriend in as public a place as one could find.

She let out a sigh as she turned to face the other woman. "Do most people ever actually know the person they're with? And clearly he wasn't very bright. Who chooses to break up with their significant other in a place that as far as I've seen caters to a ton of people every day?"
